On a recent drive to Mysuru, I stopped by for a delicious breakfast of nourishing porridge, kuchalakki (boiled rice) ganji, tenginkai haalu (coconut milk) ganji, ragi (finger millet) ambli, and also tasted a scrumptious neer dosa made of the very special Rajamudi rice, and their much-favoured kotte kadubu. Shivalli feels like home every time I'm traveling in that direction❤️ and surprisingly, the owner reminds me of my dad!! No wonder it's such a nice feeling every time I'm there.
Haigreva is one the most fav dish of mine yes as he said it is traditional and authentic cuisine of madhva bhramin and it's a most tasty dessert that is made and most of the time it's cooked in camphor by which the desert gets an extra added flavour
Is this Breakfast?? Wow.... this could be enough for all the day....no lunch no dinner for me!! The place is really beautiful...the ancient tree.....full of plants..the waterfall... the colors..I would love to have a breakfast in a place like this!! Thank you Mr. Kripal
I will be visiting India this summer after 5 years. Will be around Mysore & Bangalore. Hence making the list of all the eateries from your channel to try out as many places as possible. Thank you.
It's so good to see restaurants serving traditional dishes, the main factor to serve such dishes is passion and humanity rather than a profit driven motive.
My food habits change when i'm travelling towards or from Bengaluru where I prefer eating here instead of McD, KFC etc. That's how much these tasty organic dishes changes you and pulls you towards them. Great to see this place being covered by Food Lovers TV. This has been the goto place in our family to have food or even buy plants (they have a wonderful collection in the nursery beside) from so many years I cannot even recall. The owner is also very kind and friendly. Overall, a great place to visit when on this highway.
Its great to see our costal foods in your channel again and again with different names and modifications (halsinayelle kotte, mude, boiled rice ganji & neer dose with bellakai 😍
Thank u soo much for showing this place...my all time fav kocchilakki ganji... definitely want to visit this place... never thought this item is Available in restaurant...👌👍👍
Your way of describing food is really amazing. Also I really like your act of bringing many unknown eateries to limelight. I really hope you also write a book one day.
Dear Kripal Ji: Thanx for taking us back in time with the ambience which is becoming rare. The chutney made of grated coconut and jaggery is sublime and the off course the divine prasadam sweet. I aspire to visit this place whenever I am next in Bengaluru. Best wishes from Mumbai

Kuchhalaki or kochaaki you can also taste it with pickle or curd . It's the staple food at my native town(Udupi)..Good to see it in Kripal's show good work guys...
Hayagriva is my all time favorite... But, they also add poppy seeds... Anyways, great food, especially those porridges.. Ragi ambli was looking delicious...
My favorite is also Bela kai the jaggery and coconut sweet thing which is served with Neer Dosa In Mumbai we get this in Ramashray, although I would like to have that as the main dish. This combination reminds me of Ukdiche modak from Maharashtra

Another beautiful pit stop en route to Mysore. When in Rome, not only do as the Romans’ do but also eat as the Romans eat. Nothing like eating what’s grown around the area. Good for the body. Also they would be cooking those dishes best, so gud for the taste buds too
The varities of grains and millets the Indian subcontinent is blessed with is awesome but it's sad how we are opting for wheat and maida products. Hope we and future generations distance ourselves from it
It's rajaamudi rice, supposed to be grown in the olden days for the Wodeyars of Mysuru. And the kaayibella is my favorite with Neer dosey that used to be made at home but without coconut.Tastes heavenly with home made Mosaru. For that matter I enjoy even Kadle bele holige also with Mosaru, try it once. But holige as made in Coastal karnataka, mind you.

It's laudable that this eatery is preserving local food. Not easy in these times when commercials outweigh other things.
