I need to wire my old Nokia phone ear buds/ mic combo to USB, (like gaming headphones with a mike but only hella lot lighter) so I'm here watching and WHAT I DID LEARN incidentally was that I was able to repair an Apple lightning charge cord. The wires and connections were all good but the outer shielding had somehow lost it's integrity, so I used your trick and expanded some shrink tube, slipped it over the lightning plug and covered the open shielding, shrunk it in place and FIXED it, saved at least $15 that is much better spent on beer!! Thank You SGAUDIOHIVE!!

Fantastic video. very helpful! How do you connect/solder 4 wires on 2.5mm TRRS for a balanced headphone/earplug where no mic is required? As in how does one connect L+, L-, R+, R- and ground on 2.5mm TRRS jack? Thanks for the reply!

Great video man! I use a 3.5mm aux cable to play music in my car. However, I recently got a new phone that doesn't have the 3.5mm jack. Is it possible for me to use one half of the USB-C earphones that came with the phone, and fuse it with half of an aux cable so i can play music in my car again?

Can you make a tutorial video for a short USB C to C cable, that will send audio to an external DAC? Or a USB C to micro would be great as well.
Thanks for taking the time to make these tutorials!

Unfortunately due to MFI standards and limitation, we will not be doing any videos on those as we will have to procure 3rd party (illegal) means

Sir, I have a question regarding Xiaomi. I have seen some videos showing external mic connection. I want to do the same. But there are 2 inbuilt microphones.
Since I plan to use the camera on my helmet, should I disable both mics and connect to one mic.
Because if I leave the other mic connected, then it will record the outside noise while vlogging.
What do you think and what do you advise.
      Thanks a million
