I'm not one of them, but I do have enough birth defects that I can't wear adult socks, and my whole childhood felt haunted by kids' songs that referenced body parts I wasn't born with. I'm glad the Awesome Socks Club exists, even if it isn't much use to me.

I switched my socks to linen/hemp a few years ago for its natural antimicrobial and wicking properties, but my god the note this ended on got me so excited that I clicked through and looked at past designs. You almost got me!
The reason I'm not signed up to the awesome socks club is primarily the fabric content of the socks. If I'm paying a lot for socks. I'd really like them to be either a high cotton % (like over 80% cotton) or a high bamboo viscose %. Polyester isn't a great material for socks, it makes your feet sweaty and it sheds microplastics when washed. Polyester has the advantage of being cheep, but the goal of the awesome socks club is to make socks that are awesome and do good, not to make the cheepest possible socks for people who need cheep socks.
About a month ago I found out a life hack to only need around 50% of the amount of socks I needed previously. I broke my ankle. Now it might be temporary, sure, but there is nothing stopping me from doing it again.
The fact that he's doing this even when he's fighting cancer is just awesome! What an inspiration! Also, I'm putting in my vote for The Awesome Hat Club! This most definitely needs to happen!

I dunno... seems unlikely you'd get a tattoo when chemo is knocking your immune system out, I'd have thought. I'd want as much of my skin to remain as "unbroken" as possible to lower the risk of getting an infection that you'd ordinarily have no trouble defeating before it could take hold.

But most importantly, TikTok's Science Dad couldn't possibly get a tattoo of a highly unscientific, and completely debunked, field of study 👨🔬😉

Sitting in a breast cancer screening that turned diagnostic waiting to see if I need a further ultrasound. My left boob hurts and I'm on the verge of tears, but then i remember DFTBA and the joy emanating off this channel and I feel better and more relaxed.❤❤❤
Update. Possible micro cluster cysts which are benign. However, to be certain that's what they're seeing, I need to have 2 years of follow up ultrasound and screening to be sure that's what they discovered. Still nerve wracking.

Hank, the socks are beautiful and the outsides are very soft (i got the first year of the Awesome Socks Club's socks as a gift) but I am ADHD and Autistic and I absolutely CAN NOT tolerate the fuzzy lumpy parts on the inside of the sock (from thread changes to make the designs) when I'm walking or wearing shoes (my pairs all either got passed to the one of my kids who doesn't have this issue or repurposed as cute covers for things...the handles of my crutches are ADORABLE, as is the pad on my desk to protect my elbows) ...the sensation makes me want to claw my feet off. Do you think the Awesome Socks Club would ever make a sensory friendly verson where the prints are only on the upper part of the socks? I'd sign right back up if the foot parts were smooth on the inside!

I look forward to my awesome socks every month. I live in an itty bitty apartment here in L.A. so I can't keep all of them, but I give the one's that don't vibe w/ me to family and friends, and they really love them. I wear them to my doctors appointments, out with my daughter when I take her to school, and people always ask about them. It's a great conversation starter, and I know I sound crazy talking about 'These two guys on UA-cam that do great stuff' but you'd be surprised how many people ask how they can get their hands 'on these socks that support maternity health.'
Is the secret under the hat like when your parents wrap a tennis racket for Christmas and put it under the tree and we're supposed to be surprised when we unwrap it like, "oh, I never could have guessed what was in there" ? It's fine if that's what we're doing, we can put on our surprised face :)

I've read about cooling hats as in (cold not awesome cool) that can be used to possibly prevent hair loss from chemotherapy drugs.

I uhh knit my own socks and sew them as well from old clothes/ stuff I got cus sustainability, use my old socks to make dolls. I think I know what's under that adorable hat of your and now really wanna knit you a colorful hat. After seeing this video and your smile I feel much better, thank you for taking time to still make videos and for just being you. For a moment I thought there was a job opening and was so happy😭😭😭

Sitting in a breast cancer screening that turned diagnostic waiting to see if I need a further ultrasound. My left boob hurts and I'm on the verge of tears, but then i remember DFTBA and the joy emanating off this channel and I feel better and more relaxed.❤❤❤
And just got word that they do want an ultrasound. Send those glimmer thoughts, please. 💫💖
Update. Possible micro cluster cysts which are benign. However, to be certain that's what they're seeing, I need to have 2 years of follow up ultrasound and screening to be sure that's what they discovered. Still nerve wracking.

Hank, the socks are beautiful and the outsides are very soft (i got the first year of the Awesome Socks Club's socks as a gift) but I am ADHD and Autistic and I absolutely CAN NOT tolerate the fuzzy lumpy parts on the inside of the sock (from thread changes to make the designs) when I'm walking or wearing shoes (my pairs all either got passed to the one of my kids who doesn't have this issue or repurposed as cute covers for things...the handles of my crutches are ADORABLE, as is the pad on my desk to protect my elbows) ...the sensation makes me want to claw my feet off. Do you think the Awesome Socks Club would ever make a sensory friendly verson where the prints are only on the upper part of the socks? I'd sign right back up if the foot parts were smooth on the inside!

I started subscribing to the awesome socks Club at the start of this year, and the quality of the socks has made them my favorite socks! I also love wearing colourful socks and the designs are awesome!! Thank you for this awesome product!
I look forward to my awesome socks every month. I live in an itty bitty apartment here in L.A. so I can't keep all of them, but I give the one's that don't vibe w/ me to family and friends, and they really love them. I wear them to my doctors appointments, out with my daughter when I take her to school, and people always ask about them. It's a great conversation starter, and I know I sound crazy talking about 'These two guys on UA-cam that do great stuff' but you'd be surprised how many people ask how they can get their hands 'on these socks that support maternity health.'

The awesome socks socks are really soft and comfy from a sensory perspective imo, if anyone is wondering! Like they don’t feel too thin but they don’t feel too thick to where shoes feel weird. Love them!
