The ice shows on RCCL ships for me are always a must see. For me its the skill in the preformers. Many of them hold world level championship wons as well. Heck on a Oasis class ship at leadt for me the shows become the focal point of the cruise. When I cruise on Symphony I tend to watch every single aqua show and ice show I can! I do love how Wonder ends theirs with a snowfall effect over the audience!
For us, too! The performers RCCL has are phenomenal. Their athleticism, strength, and grace are inspiring! 😊 We’ll be on Symphony for the first time next year. Looking forward to seeing the shows on that ship. Are there other “can’t miss” experiences on Symphony we should plan for?
@@royalshenanigansusa Honestly, all of them. When I was on Hair Spray was not running due to a major issue with the set, but everything else was. Hiro takes the idea of an aqua show and ramps it up 10x. It is the show that was used as inspiration for Wonder's. Has alot more martial arts theming woven in. Their ice show is very good. The other main show Journey of Flight is very unique!
Really well recorded - I imagine this one was exhausting to capture! I saw the ice show on Symphony recently, and was completely blown away - I think it was a different show to this one - I don't recall any of that music being used!
I am very appreciative of this posting. It helps me decide if I would want to see it, and I don't. For my taste, too much color stuff (the white was cool), and too much group skating and the music a bit too hokey. Awesome performance from 11:04 - 13:50, but why the funky colors and dark lighting, and a T-shirt/outfits that look like tie-dyes made at summer camp? Now if I were a performer, I'd be hurt by reading this. So let it be said these are very talented skaters who devote themselves to something they (hopefully) enjoy and don't make a ton of money for, so I wish each of them the best. My family loves ice hockey but a game in this arena might be a bit dangerous LOL. The skating prowess of these athletes is first rate and all respect is given. I just wish the show and color choices/aesthetics were different.
for obviously talented skaters this has to be disappointing to just stand there and wave their arms around! Bikes?? this could have just as easily been a show in the theater! get people that actually know how to choreograph a SKATING show!
I am beginning to realize that I personally hate all these type of performances - I liked the performance in white - enough to watch it but the rest was a bit cheesy. I know there are limit’s especially with the size of the performance area and I know they have to learn it quickly as there is not much turn around , and I know it’s not the case fault as they do what they are told , but it’s definitely not something I would personally want to watch
But here you are commenting, which means you watched the entire thing? I dont understand people like you who do this. I really dont get why you wish to put negativity out into a world that’s already full of it. If you dont like it, just walk away. The time it took you to write that negative novel you could have gone and blessed someone’s day with a positive act of kindness
We’re sorry to hear that. We just admire the performers so much! To train and do what they do, on a moving ship, leaves us in awe. We hope you enjoy whatever form of entertainment does appeal to you, even if it’s not this type of ice show. 🙂
As an ex principal ice show performer myself I'm very disappointed to see your comment. Very disrespectful to a very talented cast who performed a fantastic show extremely well! Was there really any need for you to say this? Nope. It's a brand new, modern show with great choreography. I say that as someone with 40+ years in figure skating, and experience as a choreo. If the music isn't your cup of tea, fine, but there was no need to be horrible. Have a nice day. Next time just keep scrolling instead of being unkind 😉🏴⛸️
