How are we feeling about the aspect ratio on this one? This gives the absolute most in terms of field of view. For normal ~16:9 GoPro vids, it's just cropping into this. Let me know if you love it or hate it or somewhere in between!
I like it. We get to see more of the streets of Japan. The screen ratio these days are so different from one device to the next. Having black bars on the side of a video are normal now.

Such a fantastic channel ! watching a professional photographer using the Xperia 1 IV for such a long time ,while producing really great photography around your environment! I love your other equipment reviews, as a 1 MK4 owner the camera / video capabilities blew me away As a person who likes to edit my own pictures I couldn't be happier The auto mode is great . The V looks like it's giving best of both with a UI we have all wanted on the 4 but better A.i and a test bed of the enhanced sensor. I'd like the new sensor on all lenses plus another option of a 50mm which you never know as Sony does look at feedback. With new processing chips and technology it's only going to get better each year ! Keep doing what you do !

Something like a 24 and ~50 both with one inch sensors would be a dream! I'm excited to get the 1V to see if it's worth all of the marketing hype

Hello from Germany. Could you please run Geekbench 6 on your phone and upload the results while you still have the phone? It takes about 5 minutes and the app uploads the results automatically. Looking forward to the Xperia 1 V. Maybe I upgrade from my Xperia 1 III to it. Or I upgrade my ZV-1. Haven't decided yet.
Really nice to see youtubers using a phone for more than 3 months at a time! I've just bought an xperia 1 iv preowned for £385 and plan to use it for at least another 2 years, it's been fantastic so far!! (was previously juggling a huawei p20 and a galaxy a50) I really hope the Xperia line stays for years to come, it's been increasingly difficult to find phones that keep legacy features like headphone jack and expandable storage while offering premium features like RAW capture, high quality haptics, etc. Seeing the small improvements year over year for Xperia makes me incredibly excited for what sony will be offering 2+ years down the line, I'm hoping the pro-i style one inch sensors (maybe even larger) become available on the normal lineup!! Love watching your stuff and hope to see even more! I hope your channel grows, even if not I hope you keep having creative fulfilment from making these!

This aspect ratio is great on Z Fold 3. You have been using 1 iv for quite sometime. What's your opinion on battery life? Also, do you think the UI update from 1 v will come to 1 iv?
Oh I bet it does work nicely on the z fold! I think the battery life is definitely a step up from the previous models, but I'd still like just a little more. Stamina mode saves a lot of battery life though. I think the 1V should be better with battery life due to the new chip. As for updates, I'm hopeful but not expectant. If Sony has proven anything, it's that they are inconsistent with things like this. It's the same with their alpha camera line. Camera bodies that can and in my opinion should get updates, don't. So I would say to not hold your breath, but be happy if they do haha. Thanks for watching!
I appreciate it! I may mix in this aspect ratio with the previous regular one, or only use this one from now on for street walks. My biggest concern is that it doesn't play as nicely with the 21:9 aspect ratio. Thank you as always!
@@ShibiChan the analytics will be interesting to see how much impact the aspect ratio makes for watch time and device type. For me, when I'm watching videos focussed on photography I'm watching on my TV. But I'm 37 years old so in the UA-cam community I'm basically a boomer 😂

@@luziferhell5768 I think it's normal, I guess it depends on how much it's wobbling. My 1IV now has a little, but my shutter button on my previous Pro-I had a ton of wobbling. In both cases it's been totally fine for me though
