Hi! Greetings from freezing cold Canada! It’s -20 and we just had a snowstorm blow in the other day 🥶 New here and trying to binge watch videos from lots of the Moda designers! I watched one of your other videos and just fell in love with this fabric collection! It’s in my cart! Love watching your videos, all you ladies and gents are so informative, thanks for all you do!
Oh I am sending a huge thank you for this video! I love that FQS gives us the sheets to print and keep in our binders as a cheater sheet without the math headache. When I find a bundle I fall in love with, I can order and know you'll ship it out asap, and I can refer to this sheet to whip up a quilt in a day. Love it! Thank you. Thank you.
I just pulled my fabric but I chose shades of red. I am going to use different Santa head patterns designed for embroidery off of pinterest to put in center instead of a solid square. Thank you Kimberly for motivating us.
I really like all the videos you do, but I do enjoy the designers and learning their processes! One of the best things, I think you do Kimberly, is during the videos when you show blocks done with different fabric lines. Sometimes I have a problem deciding which line to use and when I see the examples from your videos it helps me to make a decision! Thank you for all you do!
When I do blocks on point I cut the setting triangles larger like you did in the video, but when I trim them down I leave more than a quarter inch seam. I use your poke a pin method, but sometimes they don't come out perfect like yours do. By trimming the blocks just a little bit more than a quarter inch I don't risk cutting off the points of the block when I sew the seams. I like the way the blocks look like they are floating and I don't have to worry about not having nice points. Barb Drummond
I guess there isn’t a Minnick & Simpson line that I don’t love. This fabric is beautiful! I especially like this on-point idea for unusual quilt layouts when you might want to create something different from the usual three-across, four-down. Thanks, Kimberly!
I have been wanting to make an On point quilt. These are great tips and I am going to put my RBD Challenge on point for the setting. Will be my sewing today ❤
Thank you so much for this video tutorial and the cheat sheet. I have 12 basket blocks that I want to put on point and now it will be easy. I love your rolling stone block, it's so pretty.
This was very informative and helpful! Thanks for the cheat sheet too! I would like to see more about putting blocks together when they do not always come out the same size! I usually add sashing that was not part of the pattern. Thanks!
This really turned out great. For beginner quilters, I would like tips on how plan your cutting so that you do not need more than the called for amount. Thank you!
I would rather set the block on point than sewing all these setting triangles onto my blocks, but nonetheless, nice idea! Kind of what I had to do when sewing your Balcony quilt pattern from the Sew Sampler Box, even if the pattern used pieced setting triangles.

Hello Janet! Kimberly's machine was made so that it would not have that issue. Some other machines need leaders and enders to prevent that from happening. Kimberly uses a Juki TL-2010Q sewing machine - amzn.to/2onygue
Not sure why it’s called “cheater” block. Now I’m curious as to what the non cheater way is….I’m always looking to make thing the way the “quilt police” require. But seriously, I’ve never heard this is “cheating”. It’s just a different method of assembly, in my mind.
This is brilliant! So much easier than wrangling a whole quilt top on the diagonal. Thanks Kimberly!🎉
Your cheater sheets are invaluable. Thanks for passing all this info on. You are a lifesaver to a new (or old) quilter. Cheers

Love the new cheat sheet! Thank you!!
Thank you for another great sewing technique. The On-Point layout looks great with so many blocks and you have shown an easier way.

Oh wow! This is going to be very useful. Thank you!

Nice technique, thanks. I understand why you would want it in a binder to reference when needed.
LOVE this. Anything to make it easier to put together is great. I really appreciate all the tips on getting a better block. See you Friday.
Wow- can’t wait to try this technique. You are so generous!

Thank you so much for this video and handout. I was just trying to figure this out last week. Now I don't have to do the math.

Thank you Kimberly for the detailed instructions & cheat sheet 💫

Do you get the same results if you cut a square that is 10 inches to cut diagonally or does it have to be 9 7/8?
This is great especially for Pressed Flowers!
Love this block thank you Kimberly 👍👏🥰🌸🇦🇺
THANKS FOR HELPING TO DO THIS KIND OF BLOCKS
I would rather set the block on point than sewing all these setting triangles onto my blocks, but nonetheless, nice idea! Kind of what I had to do when sewing your Balcony quilt pattern from the Sew Sampler Box, even if the pattern used pieced setting triangles.
Thank you for this great tutorial.

How do you do perfect cornerstones???
Hello Nancy! I make sure my seams are exact and will measure and draw my seams if I need to.
How do you get so your sewing machine doesn't eat the corners of your triangles?
Hello Janet! Kimberly's machine was made so that it would not have that issue. Some other machines need leaders and enders to prevent that from happening. Kimberly uses a Juki TL-2010Q sewing machine - amzn.to/2onygue

Why not just dog ear each corner instead of using HST’s?
Kimberly you’re so awesome! Thank you for keeping us in stitching🧵🧵
