- Big Nate's Christmas present finally came in. Here is a video of him "dunk testing" his new Goalrilla GS72C basketball goal. He starts out on 9 feet, then 9.5, and finally at 10 feet. He was 14 years old and 6'3" in this video.

what grade is he in? also did you ever measure his wingspan and standing reach?
9th grade, but still 14. Never measured wingspan. Can't remember his reach, but vertical was 29.5 a while back.
oh, thats nice. vertical as in standing vertical? i'd be surprised if he could dunk with only a 29.5 running vert

jesus when i was 13-14 i was 5ft 5 now I'm 18 and around 6ft and i can hang on a 10ft rim but unfortinatly i have very under sized hands

He did a specific jump program before the 13 Year Old Dunks video to get the last inch or two needed. I'll post a video of the program in the future. It works, but should be done in the off-season because it's hard on the knees.

Yeah, a couple halogen lights point down at the rim so I can play at night. I guess I should do a night time dunk video to show it.

+Michael Bietsch It was pretty pricey, with the lights, and pads it was around 2000. Installation was another 1000 or so. My Dad promised to get me a new one when I could dunk, so he had to pay up. ;-)

Dick's Sporting Goods. Took 6 weeks to come in though. About four days to install. it's been great so far though. Very solid.

It was $3000 including installation and a bunch of extra stuff, (lights, pads). Kinda pricey but it's high quality and still like new after almost 3 years.

Bos Bosken Total cost was insane (around 3,000). Goal was 1600 I think. The lights and pads cost extra. Installation in concrete was very expensive. It's an awesome goal though. Hope it lasts.

Yeah, it can be unbolted from a plate in the ground. You can buy another plate for around $100 and move it to another location if you wanted.

I reckon most of the negs you have is people starting to watch your video and seeing its not 10 feet. Needs to be made more clear that it's lower at start. Title says 10 feet, and its not... people neg and click away from your clip. Just sayin.

I can assure you that that in the begining of the video it was 9 feet , the reason it looked like 8 feet or something is because nate is very tall

grnoodleman I checked out that site before I bought, but didn't like that they don't display prices. I agree I could have got a cheaper deal though. We happy so far with the goal. The only problem so far is the light bulbs have gone out twice in two months.
