This is amazing. I do play designs sometimes, and it was the first time I ever sewed or anything, so it's helpful to find you on here. You're very clear, and it's helpful to see how you design and adjust :)
You are amazing as a seamstress. I have always thought I was good, but I have always had to rely on a ready made pattern to do my sewing. Watching you work on that mannequin was like watching any other great artist at work... By the way, what kind of mannequin is it? My daughter just recently moved and I will be doing most of the work on her dress from afar.

Thank you! Yes! I went to the Academy of Art in San Francisco. I have been sewing since I was in middle school so about 15 years now. I have been sewing bridal for about 5 years.

Thank you so much!!! Your videos are visually easy to understand. I do however have one question if you can help me with please...I struggle with adding the correct fitting ease to woven fabrics. Can you explain how you achieve fitting ease in your pattern for wovens or is there a certain guideline you use? Thank you!!!!
To be honest it really just depends on what kind of fabric you use, not all wovens are equal if you get what I mean. I like to add around 3/4” to 1.5” the the fullest part of the hip area 1/2” to 3/4” to the bust area, it really once again depends on the fabric I am using. What really helps is purchase a muslin that is similar in weight to your fashion fabric and make a mock up. LIFESAVER!

Hello, I have a question if you wanted to alter a low back gown to make it a little higher what would you suggest is the best way to go about that?
Oh lord! I would find a fabric that is very close to the original fabric and at that in kind of like a yoke piece. If the gown has overlay with lace this can easily be disguised

Would a wedding dress made by you be cheaper than a bridal store?
Right now, bc I am trying to build my client base for my website yes slightly, but when my business is established custom gowns usually run around the same or much more depending in the design.
Is the dress going to be the size of the mannequin? How would someone make this a different size when using one of those
You would need to draft a custom pattern for them. I will do a series on it soon
