The Namek Saga really was the quintessential arc of any anime ever. You really felt this foreboding, this looming shadow that the Tyrant Lord cast over everyone throughout the entire plot at that time. There was just this feeling that no matter who they faced, the grunts, the henchmen, the Ginyu Force, that no matter how strong they got, Frieza could and would wipe them out easily. And as they finally faced off with him, no matter how hard they tried, even Goku could barely go head to head with him, as the entire time Frieza was just toying with the world's strongest. It's shown that even before the series, Frieza was this untouchable, unstoppable force that no one could hope to defeat. We the audience felt that fear, as it just seemed there was no stopping him. Only Vegeta knew the truth, he knew the only way to stop Frieza permanently was the Legend. And it isn't until that fateful episode when Frieza himself finally felt the fear that everyone else had felt, when Goku became a Super Saiyan, and then the tables were turned. He was on the end of the whooping stick, and eventually even Goku himself said there was no challenge anymore, and in his eyes it would be no more than toying with Frieza to continue. And while it was somewhat poetic that the Prince's son was the one to finally put down Frieza for good (at the time at least), we all know that it was Goku's Super Saiyan that truly toppled the tyrant, as he would never again have the same power, instill the same fear. As Frieza would know true fear going forward. And this track truly embodies both ends, both the fear that we and the characters felt when Frieza was in power, and then when Frieza himself was staring down the barrel of the nuclear cannon known as Super Saiyan Goku.

Such an underrated channel. This music deserves to be showcased to the world. Mixing Frieza's music with the Ginyu theme is such a great combination! Thank you for getting this out there, I really appreciate it.
I didn't even realize that it was a combination of the themes. I think too many people give the US soundtrack too much flack. It was well composed, well thought out and it gave the show a certain personality. Sure not every song was a winner, but the good songs are great.

The faulcnor soundtrack fit the series , sjj theme, ssj3, vegetas, kid buus death, all the unreleased music, trunks story, new earth theme, the dragon theme the closing theme And theres plenty more plus all the unreleased stuff like this

the switch from ocean to funimation was kinda rocky at first, but it gets better over time. i remember this from "ginyu assult", the premiere of the funimation dub.

the Falcouner soundtrack is a fucking masterpiece, it adds so much to the series and i refuse to watch DBZ without it. a few weeks ago i tried to watch Kai just to really see the difference and i just couldn't do it, DBZ Kai felt like it lacked soul, like there was nothing more to it. and the fact they replaced Kid Gohan's voice actor further cemented the fact that Kai straight trash

Because replacement score thing is not use in modern anime nowadays in funimation. Funimation is a different company now. They now kept the original Japanese music
Do you by chance have the music for Goku's 'I am the Hope of the universe' speech going into Frieza laughing and then Goku just snarls at him and it goes with the music so perfectly.... actually strike that, reverse it. its the snarly bit into the speech. i think it starts around where he says "your evil deeds are like a noose around your neck" then it goes back into fighting then it would go to the speech. might take some editing but it just would work so well
