Hope you feel better soon, PHJ! Also had a few gos at the event..it seems to be very reliant on people knowing their roles and doing them..i did win most of them..but the secondary objectives i only managed all of, once or twice (so far at least)
Been loving the Op. Atlanta's a beast in it. Best in tier damage, great AA and most importantly ship-based depth charges (stack the intel for best results). West Virginia 44's probably the best BB for it (great secondaries), but doesn't have the flex of my 'Lanta.

Just for the record: all you need to do to win is to destroy all (4) AA posts and 3 (out of 7) coastal guns. The landing ships so NOT need to survive. In fact, I think the team doesn’t need to survive after the primary objectives are met.
i actually managed to have a schnellboot jump over my shells....
I rather like this operation. It's very hectic, but so was the original Dunkirk one. It's hard to get more than 3 stars: if you want to get 5 you need a well-coordinated team, but that should reward division play.
The operation has its flaws, though. The Snellboots are hard to hit and show up the limitations of the aiming system (the land fortifications are also wonky); but what really annoys me are the minefields. They are not fun to deal with and they keep respawning (I think those weirdly large air groups drop them ). To cap it off: the scenario spawns a minefield in front of the transports near the end of the mission. You don't have a lot of time to clear it; and at that point you are likely under attack from multiple sides already. I think they added these to give DDs a role (ship-launched depth charges are the only thing that can quickly clear minefields), but TBH I don't think DDs have the range or the survivability to do well in this mission.
