- The second in a series chronicling my 13 competitive cannonballs runs, and this time Top Gear shows up for a one of a kind American experience. Top Gear Magazine that is. Alas, not Clarkson, Hammond and May, but Brits nonetheless.
Behold the might of thoroughly used Caprice Classic 9C1 and Crown Vic cop cars, a Craigslist Buick Regal, and a Honda Accord of questionable origin as they battle for supremacy crossing from New York to California nonstop for under $2904 including the car!

When you are in the "Big Chair" You seem more relaxed and your delivery just flows naturally. When you tell a story here on Ficarra Classic, you seem to be a little uptight. Thanks for sharing your story. I always enjoy them. Every time you talk about cannonballing, it sounds so, so appealing. In 50 years I've never once driven a car but this makes me want to finally learn.

That's funny. John thinks we stick around to the end of the video because we want to know the times of the cars, when we actually stick around for great story told by a great narrator.
Man this is quite an enjoyable story. It just strengthens my love and eventual hope of doing a Cannonball run myself in my lifespan

Going through Flagstaff to miss the snow. 😂😂😂 Flagstaff is in the top ten cities in the US for inches of snowfall per year. Most people would never guess since it's only two hours north of Phoenix.

Ohio is the Gestapo state. There has to be a stat somewhere on the number of police vs people and it's definitely astronomical. Im not a criminal of any kind, but highly value freedom. I left Ohio, where I would see 10+ cops on a 10 minute drive, to the cumberland plateau in Tn. I dont think I see 10 cops a year.
