HP 3335A fully functional!

Thought I'd give everyone an update on this unit. After further troubleshooting I came to the conclusion that the divider / filter board was faulty. Instead of digging deeper into the board I took the lazy route and used a doner 3335A I bought for $10.00 to repair the instrument.

Wow, $10 for a parts unit... that's cheap. No way I could get my hands on something like this at that price in Germany.

Well, now that you have two, maybe you can compare some readings and get the parts unit working! Repairs are always faster when you can live compare with a working unit!

Yeah, I thought about doing that since now I have the proper risers so I can get to all the test points on the cards. But since I have two functioning 3335A's the parts unit will just stay that, a parts unit. Other than the cabinet, missing hardware and the malfunctioning card I swapped out, the rest of the unit, front panel, CPU, attenuator, power supply, frequency reference are all still good.
