At first, I didn't notice Tekken 3 was set 20 years after Tekken 2. When I first saw Jin fight, I thought he would just mimic Kazuya; but later on, I found out that he is Jun and Kazuya's child, who was trained by Heihachi (to make up for Kazuya's absence in Tekken 3). But since Kazuya returned in Tekken 4, his return was what "justified" how Jin decided to forget the Mishima style, which sets him apart from his father and his grandfather somehow.
You're actually right. I thought that Jin was 18 years old, and he was a high school dropout when he set to Australia. So he probably graduated when Tekken 3 happened and Xiaoyu is just a bit younger than him though.
playing as jin in tekken 3 is more complicated than in the other games if you wanna do some good combos you have to memorize AAAAALL! those button inputs.
I really like the fact that after t2 namco decided to take out jun and kazuya and their son got moves from each. In fact, jin in t3 is a mix of mishima and kazama Even in t4 when kazauya came back and jin got a brand new movelist, you can see how the mishima-style moves are gone completely, but some kazama-style moves remain. I like how the developers approached the story of this character not only in terms of plot, but also in terms of gameplay
Can someone please explain to me why he has so many different "10 hit combos"? All of these grounded combos are ridiculous.......................ly awesome I would love to have Jin like this again but then it would probably be cheese. welp
0:12 was always an annoying move I had difficulty performing. Now I think I'll be good. Many thanks. 0:24 that's a move? Never seen it before. 0:28 bonus points for recording that. 0:32 I wonder how many takes it took to land that last right kick. 0:48 - 54 I wasn't aware how many uppercuts existed until Tekken 4 and I never returned to T3 to see how they were implemented. Many thanks again for this. 1:17 you can use up instead of up forward as well. This is important for Tekken 4 because Kazuya stutters on the second kick if blocked while the straight up version won't. Take note for future reference. 1:23 in later games can be performed with up forward+4~3 to come out faster. Forget if it's like that in this game. 2:26 mm hmm, good you added the kicks at the end. 2:28 mm hmm, good job getting all the hits without tripping them. 2:33 wow you got all the hits?
0:24 - you can quick dash after DownForward + Left Punch, Right Punch or Forward + Left Punch + Right Punch, Right Punch. 0:32 - one, LOL, I was lucky. 1:17 - Tekken 4, 5, 6 I will only use the MoveLists shown the game, due to time constraints. 1:23 - you can do that in this game too, it's a way to perform it faster, but only an easier way, if you perform Right Kick to Left Kick fast enough, on frame, it comes out just as quick. The 10 hit combos took lots of tries to get all the hits in.
Tekken 4. You won't use only in game command list. Trust me. I think there was a throw they didn't teach for Nina and maybe King. Heihachi has just frame hell sweeps and secret blue spark moves, Jin has his secret mental alertness moves etc. If you have a memory card function you can record yourself performing the move so it is consistent with the in game blue demonstration. Only thing is it won't name the move maybe? I know in training mode you can turn on the display that names your attack though.
@@Toomnyusernae Actually, it's pretty much decided, sorry, I don't have time. Tekken 3 is special to me, it's why I did a little extra for it, plus it doesn't have an in game moves showcase mode.
TK8 Mishima Jin was lackluster. They should’ve put his TGF follow-ups (cd1,3 and cd1,4) and other TK3 moves. They also should’ve made some moves automated (just like how Jin does the Kazama parry during the “My Last Stand” sequence).
The one at 0:12 feels IMPOSSIBLE. How tf can I do electrics just fine, but this shit just ends up doing his knee attack instead of 1+3 everytime without fail
If you come here after Tekken 8, then I'll just let you know, you've come to the right place. Go and beat Kazuya~ :)

Plot reason is Jin hates everything Mishima related after Heihachi shot him to unlearn it.
