Getting some of the old gang back together from the radio music society days . that's got a groove that won't quit .
I discovered her when I was in high school after renting her Esperanza album from my library and I Instantly fell In love. I taught myself Ponte de areia in a couple of days and have been a fan ever since. The icing on the cake was getting her autograph on her new album while working her concert at the Hollywood Bowl with Herbie Hancock. Love how refreshing her music is in a musical world of ass shaking, drugs and violence.
Esperanza's musical & emotional journey never ceases to be interesting.. Most of her things I like a lot...some I don't, this is definitely something I like.
That's how it is with all artists... I saw an interview with Nile Roger's and he basically said he is always making music and most of it will not be hits but you keep at it.
