A Storm in Heaven is a pretty mind blowing album I'd say. I never thought the Verve were that great until I heard that album in college while looking around for shoegaze bands.

The most haunting song The Verve ever created. I always did want to see a video made for it. The imagery used here matches the feel superbly. I do wonder, though, if a shot, even a brief one, of a graveyard would have been a good choice. It could have been a tribute, at least, to the photo on the back cover of "A Storm In Heaven", which was meant to correlate to this song (as noted in the booklet).

It's one of those lyrics I carry around with me. I know exactly what you mean. Underneath it, the sound of the guitar building up to that rainbow of screaming sound has me on the edge of my seat every time; figuratively.
