Another entertaining vlog. Hubs & I frequently rented cars for our trips, but that was before parking fees. Has was cheap & a weeks rental was less than $100. We traveled out to Prime, Red Rock, Hoover Dam & down to Laughlin ( a great drive - actually saw a mirage on the way!). I'd also encourage taking the dam tour - found it to be very educational and awe inspiring! They walked us through generator room & mountain tunnels..also down closer to the river. Really enjoyed it, but again, this was all more than a few years ago (when there was only a slight bathtub ring around Lake Mead). Thanks for some dam great memories!
Sunday greetings peeps ! To rent a car or not rent a car …This is a great question much like Shakespeare To be or not to be lol. For me personally I hate renting cars unless necessary. I only left the strip or downtown once last year to see Hoover Dam and I took a mini tour . It was a great experience and was so convenient to picked up and dropped off at my hotel . It’s cool you were able to rent it at MGM rather than the airport which can be a nightmare. Cool seeing you venture about 😎😎😎
Being able to rent the car at the Hotel was a game changer for us for sure. I hate the lines and delay n starting our trip by getting one at the airport, but this worked great for us. Thanks so much Anthony
That was really enjoyable. Loved seeing something different from a Vegas vlog, especially since I’ve never taken the time to go to Hoover Dam in my many visits to Nevada. The low water level is frightening, though.
A few things about renting a car while in Vegas 1) If you only plan on staying on the Strip and/or Downtown, and plan on making less than 3 trips away to another area, it’s likely not worth the cost. Uber and cabs aren’t super expensive and there’s a lot of access to them. 2) if you do rent a car, you need to have status with at least MGM or Caesars, or the parking fees will kill you. Wynn and TI have free parking and Resorts World kind of does, but those are all North Strip and away from the bulk of the casinos. Downtown parking is cheaper but having status at Boyd doesn’t hurt either. 3) Use either Costco’s travel site or book a pay when you get there rate through the rental company directly. Book your reservation as soon as you book your trip, THEN KEEP CHECKING BACK!!! The rates change daily and usually will be at the lowest about 4 weeks before. Even my trip in October I paid about $40 a day at the airport. But I had to change my reservation a few times. Love the channel. Keep up the good work
Hoover Dam is a must see regardless of the water level. We have been there many times with out of town guests. You must take the tour inside the Darn. 😛 Next car rental suggestions: Red Rock (need reservation ahead now), Valley of Fire(Petroglyphs), Allegiant Stadium Tour, El Dorado Gold Mine Tour, Seven Magic Mountains 7 minutes from M Resort, Ethel M Cactus Garden (Christmas time), Shelby Mustang Museum (just south of Allegiant Stadium on Dean Martin) and Bryce Canyon in Utah (day trip). BTW Lotus of Siam is opening a 4th location in Henderson this year. Check out Green Valley Ranch Casino and District in Henderson as an alternate location.(just below McDonald Ranch Community of beautiful homes on the cliffs). Great Review on the vlog of these locations. ❤
I rent a car often. I always take anyone that’s never been to the dam over there. I’d love to see you check out the Southwest diner in Boulder City. I’m going in August, and I’m renting a car just to go to the diner. Go for breakfast and get the green chili breakfast casserole, and banana bread. You will be pleasantly surprised.
Have been to the Hoover Dam in 2008,, and the bridge over the top was in the process of being built l(on ooking back at my photos) then in 2019 we went over it on our trip to the Grand Canyon. Have never hired a car though. Thanks for another great video x
My wife and I love your travel vlogs. We are about to rent a car for two days at The Aria in mid-April. We are in town for seven nights and are watching your latest vlogs to see where we should eat...maybe not the $1000+ one you had the other evening:). Safe travels and all the best.
rented at both Cosmo and Sahara, both times a mustang convertible, worked out perfectly each time. i can only recommend. Valley of fire and red rock is a must visit.
Thank you for your video's I really enjoy them, and they help me when I am missing Vegas. In the future you might try taking a car to Mt Charleston, Red Rock or Valley of Fire for some great no-Vegas activities. Great scenery and some pretty easy hikes. Keep up the great video's and thank you again.
It will be our first time renting also in a few week to see Hoover Dam also with Enterprise. Looks like it was easy! Question, when u picked it up, were there extra holds on the c.c. except the charge for the card? Another great Vlog!
Isn't it interesting how many times we can go to a city and still not do some of the biggest things? over the past year or two I finally made it to the Hoover Dam, Mob Museum and Neon Museum. All things you would figure is on people lists to do.
i always rent a car when o am in Vegas . having seen teh strip so many times , its novelty wore off long time ago. there is a lot more to do and see in Vegas than just the strip. take a day trip to st george to see the national parks
Do we have to pay to enter the Grand Canyon, planning on going to the south rim, with the family. Staying at Williams the night before after . Any advise?
We actually only went to the Hoover Dam this day, I do believe there are spots that cost money in the Grand Canyon but we have not done it so I don’t want to give you wrong information
Loved all the damn "dam" jokes 😂. I haven't rented a car in tons of years, I can't believe how expensive they are now. The rate about 15 years ago was about $100 a week for an economy car.
We always rent a car, nice to get out of the casino especially to eat. It’s a freedom thing, knowing I have transportation of my own to wherever I want to go.
That’s some good dam content! The trick to craft brewery hopping is to find a permanent designated driver… like an underaged relative or friend 🤣 For day trips the flexibility of a rental car is great. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much Amber - We definitely would have like to stay longer at the Brewery so need to make a friend who doesn't drink it seems. We had fun with this one, kind of felt like our cruise vlogs in Las Vegas for the first time.
YES you can enter with firearms. We went through there last summer. They send you to the side with a brief check of your vehicle. That's it! Lots of people carry for protection when traveling. Love you guys and all your new videos! Do y'all ever work? 😂
Thanks for the tips! Oh we definitely work, we just work harder in Vegas to get a ton of video ideas in Las Vegas it seems. Good thing its a passion. Luckily the regular jobs can pay for it haha

Thanks for watching! And now we know that we can rent a car at most hotels, we may be doing it more often!

Oooh!! Thanks for the suggestions!
We did the Ethel M cactus garden during Valentine’s Day one year and really enjoyed it! Plus their chocolates….yum!
Great video. Love the idea of renting a car. Thanks for showing us how easy the process was.
Our pleasure!

Depending on what you’re looking for - we are always happy to offer suggestions on what we’ve enjoyed!

The Dam is a great place to visit and also there’s a lot to learn there too about the Dam,the view is amazing.
Thanks Brian!

Second Valley of Fire. Amazing

We will have to keep that in mind - we do enjoy a good scenic hike!
Thanks so much for watching!
So dam happy to see a new video from you both! 😂

Haha Dam right! Thanks so much!

We tried checking and don’t see any specific hold and don’t remember there being one. Hope you have a great time, thanks for watching!
Loved the video. I have never made it to hoover damn dam. Someday.
Isn't it interesting how many times we can go to a city and still not do some of the biggest things? over the past year or two I finally made it to the Hoover Dam, Mob Museum and Neon Museum. All things you would figure is on people lists to do.
Valley of Fire makes for a good rental car day trip also
Nice will have to check that out next time we grab a car!
i always rent a car when o am in Vegas . having seen teh strip so many times , its novelty wore off long time ago. there is a lot more to do and see in Vegas than just the strip. take a day trip to st george to see the national parks
Very cool, thank you!
We get a car every few trips. Great change of pace. In June I need to book a rental that holds seven people. Wish us luck lol.
Oh boy that sounds like it would be a lot of fun driving a bus in Vegas 😬 good luck guys!
Definitely a fun great video
Thanks so much!

MI LOVE SEEING YOU BOTH LIVING YOUR BEST LIFE. THANKS FOR SHARING, KEEP UP THE AMAZING WORK 👏🏽👏🏽😁👍🏼😍
Thank you so much 🤗
I always rent a car in Vegas. So much freedom to explore and Vegas has worthwhile places to visit off the strip.
Definitely seemed worth it for us!
I've been on the damn tour. It takes you into the inner workings of the damn. I highly recommend it.
Nice maybe next time we will have a little more time and check it out. Thanks for the tip
Loved all the damn "dam" jokes 😂. I haven't rented a car in tons of years, I can't believe how expensive they are now. The rate about 15 years ago was about $100 a week for an economy car.
Dam that’s crazy, however if you do an Uber or a tour you would spend this much and then some. Was some nice freedom I suppose
Putting craft kitchen on the list. You guys know we always rent a car. I get an amazing deal through work though, and it’s $275 for the entire week.
That is awesome! I don't know that i would plan on a full week but one or two day trips seems pretty good now knowing we can get it from the hotel!
We always rent a car, nice to get out of the casino especially to eat. It’s a freedom thing, knowing I have transportation of my own to wherever I want to go.
The freedom of having your own ride is definitely a bonus!
Thanks for watching!
If you have the opportunity, take it!
🙌🏼

You missed a great opportunity not taking the tour of the dam…gotta go back and here about process of building it.
I can see going back for sure, we were a little tight on time though. Next time!
Did you buy rental car insurance? They say your credit card covers that.
We did not, our car insurance covers it
@@JoshRachael OK,I thought you may live in NYC and take the subway🤔
