Crescent Moon here. Thanks to whoever posted this tape. I'm very grateful that y'all got to hear some shit we made in a basement as high school kids. It feels even more special because Mike is no longer with us in his physical form, so it is through his music that we can listen, love, and appreciate him and all the great things he did while he was here. Peace
I really wish I could've met the man and his many faces. I fell in love with his lyrical genius around 2012, by total accident but I've been hooked ever since. Which led me to you, atmosphere, sage Francis etc. You guys bless the world every time you put something out. It's always real & from the heart. Your guys' music helps a lot of people. I'm sure of it.
Yo what’s the sample used on the first track with the flute (Hidden Bridges)? Is it Battle Hymn of the Republic by Herbie Mann?? I’m watching Better Call Saul and that song starts playing and it reminded me of this haha
Still have this on a dubbed tape... first track I jammed was "Pot Of Gold" and told my friend "I gotta get this..." Greg hooked it up, and I listened to it in my little '90 Ford Tempo for like three months straight. Haven't had a cassette player in a few years, and I was super stoked to see this on here! Thank You! Gonna start stalking around for Ant's tapes, now. I have a CD of his "Memoirs and Memories" that was a remix of most the stuff off his little mix tapes. I need a little cassette player to transfer all my tapes to my hard drive. Last one I spent $25 on ate up my Headshots 7 tape... don't want to risk any more of my collection :(.
@@BrandonBuckingham @Brandon Buckingham cant believe you were here 9 years ago and listened to Oddjobs! Saw you in Emanon comments a while back always loved your vids! power of myth gave me goosebumps man, birth of a fish levels of meaning; symbolic of where he was going. Wish we coulda put some syrup in the cooler together.
doesn't exist, this was all recorded on Cassette, and the Cassette can be recorded though, but good luck obtaining one of the rarest hip hop cassettes in existence, I don't even know if there circulating on any site, I've looked because I'm collecting stuff like this. Won't doubt, by now, this cassette is worth probably 50K, if in good condition, cassettes are delicate things.
Just when i thought ive heard all of idea been listening to idea since 2010 or so. Got heavier into him post 2011 then found out he passed and was irritated i always seem to really dabble in an artist ater they pass away and ive delved further into their work. 😑
