The new set of delay reasons has 410 recorded phrases - The previous set had around 90 I think. Most TOCs have switched to the new ones now (probably allowing them to give more specific information). Greater Anglia, Chiltern, Northern's remaining ATOS and some Network Rail stations I think still use the old ones (i.e. 'a train fault' instead of 'a fault on this train'.) Agreed that Celia could've maintained her older recording style for new KeTech recordings though (if possible) for consistency. EDIT: They are here wiki.openraildata.com/index.php/Darwin:Late_Running_reason_codes_and_text
Thanks, that is a very long list... I dream of the day I hear an automated announcer say "this is due to a fire near the railway suspected to involve gas cylinders" 😂
"sLiPpErY rAiLsS"
This is now my favourite Celia thing
The way she says "Slippy rail" is amazing😂😂😂
it sounds really innuendoey 😂😂😂
Thats something that does not happen with SWR. At least i can say something good about them
Who thought slippery rails was so sexy? 🤣
I wish all Northern's Celia installations were this exact version, some have too long a gap between 'service to' and the placename!
Did you do abit of shopping at Meadowhall whilst you were there?
Not on the day I recorded this but I've been to the shopping centre many times
@@tomsrailannouncements oh cool! Meadowhall is amazing!
9:34 Love that station
I always laugh at the way she says “slippery rails”
Love Celia’s ‘slippery rails’ recording. She sounds so bemused by that reason!
Yep, no idea why Northern use new celia's delay reasons, they sound wayyy worse than the originals.
