I am amazed at all you've accomplished, everything looks great. I would recommend getting a nail gun and oscillating saw. Also, agree with another person that recommended a leaf blower.
As I said before use TORX screws in stead of Philips screws.....

You could have just used a piece of white molding along the bottom and kept them horizontal to fill that gap. That would have worked fine. I am surprised You didn't do that.
