I know a lot of you are changing from the conventional swing to the single plane swing and in today's segment we're going to talk to Brock Elmore who, in my opinion, changed his swing faster from a conventional swing to single plane than anyone Ive ever seen.
In this Video, Moe Norman Single Plane golf instructor Todd Graves is with Master Single Plane Coach Brock Elmore and analyzes his golf swing after changing from a conventional golf swing to Single Plane. Brock is the director of the Single Plane Academy Gold Membership-Graves Golf's online coaching program for people to learn Moe Norman's golf swing properly from anywhere in the world. Check out Brock's 3-piece golf drill to help master the address and grip process and other ways Brock was able to speed up the change.
The Single Plane golf swing is not a quick fix golf technique. It is a system, beginning at address, that simplifies the most important moment of the golf swing - impact.
Starting at address on two planes where the arms hang straight down at address, the Conventional golf swing is complicated. Because the arms are hanging straight down, a conventional golfer must lift the body into impact creating stress on the back.
This upward movement to accommodate the two planes is unnecessary.
The Single Plane Golf swing simplifies the golf swing by eliminating the need for the upward movement by starting and impacting on the same plane.
To find out more about he Graves Golf Gold Program where you can have Brock and the other coaches help you transform your golf swing to Single Plane, Go here:

I took a 3 day school in April 2021 and Brock was one of the instructors. He really helped me with hip/torso/shoulder turn (i.e. I didn't have any...all arms and hands which was very wrong). I also got to see him hit a few balls and his single plane swing is amazing and he knocks the poop out of the ball. I can attest for sure that he and Todd and the GG program are no jive. I have no connection with them aside from lessons and have never been asked to give a "testimonial" or anything, but they are the real deal and, if you dutifully do what they tell you to correctly and put the work in, you will make progress.

I changed over 4 weeks during first covid lockdown in NZ.
Only hit plastic balls in Garden. First 2 games back 71 70 off a 5
Now off between 1 and +3.
Back no longer an issue. Can now practice pain free. Thanks Todd. You have no idea how you have improved my quality of life.

Sensational content Todd. Following your vid’s since mid summer when I made a mid week switch to single plane swing - saved many season. I suffered for two decades with two separated ribs, wrist tendinitis and the odd bout of sciatica. I now play a 9 hole walkable course but was shooting +7 to +10 with my old swing. Was about to quit due to injuries when I searched for a different swing… and found your vids! Within a week I knew I could finish the season with a one plane swing - with far less pain - and far better results. It’s now 1° C temps here so the season may be officially over til April, but - last week I played 5 times with a bag of 7 clubs - and averaged +2 to +3 for the week. Have never hit the ball better - even when I played off a 5 hdcp before the rib injury… it now feels like “I’m baaaack!”
    Can’t wait until next season.
Again, Thanks for great videos, Todd!

Great video showing someone else with the one plane swing.
I have to admit I seen your videos so many times and wasn’t sold on the one plane swing, understood every thing about what your taught.
A year later I’ve come back to look at your videos again and I really get it now, how all this works and tried it yesterday for two hours in my back yard.
How easy is this, could not believe how effortless my swing is.
Keeping all the angles right when you swing took me a while, I get it !!!
Now I need to take is new swing to the Driving Range.
    Thank you.

Played golf today.. Inadvertently played half the game ( only 9 holes), in a 2 plane swing. When I discovered my my problem, I straightened out my wrists and my ball flight was longer, but tended to fade. Still have to get my hip turn better coordinated.
I just now glanced at the video screen, and you are giving a demonstration on my weakness in my hip turn.
    I need more range practice.

100% agree getting help from someone that knows the swing is huge help. I went through Graves Videos and bought Graves training aids...I struggled because I just could not understand non-rotational trail hand...I was lucky to find an old "Natural Golf" instructor in my area I called and ask if he could just give me a lesson/set me up...It was great he did know the Graves method (even had some Graves training aids on range) He found about 2 minutes worth of fixes on my single plane swing as I was a lot closer then I thought, but what a difference a tweak or two can make...I went back to him about 6 months later and he took me out to play as the full swing was still there and showed me a bunch of chip, pitch and putting ideas for the single plane method...

Love this, really good to see his thought process. This video helped me understand grip and alignment of the Moe swing. Great job, looking forward to future content with the your new student/coach. I am looking at becoming a Graves teacher and this is showing me it is possible, my swing still looks more like his pre-swing single plane swing than his new swing, but I have some ideas to work on.

I am 3 weeks away from my 76th birthday. On a lark, I put a jumbo grip on my driver and started the single plane swing. In 5 days I have picked up 30 to 35 yards on my drives. That translates into a 3 club drop on my 2nd shots into a par 4 hole. Can hardly wait for my next tee time!!

Have you ever taught someone that comes from the stack and tilt method
I am going to switch to single plane.
My biggest issue that I dealt with and couldn’t fix was severe hook, casting
My instructor Graham Gunn called it violence at the ball😀

100% NOT a 1 plane swing. He is clearly steeper in transition. Moe’s swing was NOT a single plane swing either. Natural golf will guarantee one thing; you’ll hit it 30 yards shorter. Zero hip rotation and feet anchored into the ground through impact and into the follow through… I will challenge anyone on this fact. I knew Moe in the 80’s and watched the fad of the Natural Golf in the 90’s. Ridiculous.

    • @ToddGravesGolf

First of all this is a single plane swing not a one plane swing. No hip rotation? Where do you get this information? Moe clearly has hip rotation? Hit ball shorter? You are incorrect about this assumption. Where is your evidence of your claims.?
