- I'm here today to show off my latest journal, which was a bit of a practice project on binding and decorating a journal without a specific theme. Because its a little rough around the edges, i'm using it to hold some of my small ephemera pieces. This is only my third journal, so let me know what you think :)

I'm Jess, an addicted op-shopper (or thrifter) who loves everything vintage, especially old paper! I run Picky Pulp, an etsy store specialising in repurposing and recycling old books into ephemera packs to be used in junk journaling, collage, decor and craft. My youtube channel is a way to document my finds and share my love of old books, magazines and paper ephemera with the world!

I love the fact that you recycle as much as you can. I'm very impressed with this little journal. I too have never purchased any digitals , I collect things here and there, it's so much fun. Thanks for sharing your treasures.
Gorgeous journal! You're my kind of crafter. I never use any digitals or designer paper in my journals either. Everything I use is found in charity shops. These types of journals are just priceless. So much effort and love goes into them and you can be sure there will never be another one with the same stuff in them. Love love love your work 😍💚🌻
Thank you so much!
Definitely a very sellable journal. Love those fussy cut pattern people!
So awesome, thank you so much for sharing!
Love this! It would definately be sellable! Especially as you have included all vintage pages and ephemera! Really enjoying your videos, thank you 😊
The illustrations of the children are so adorable and the journal is very cute and full of a nice variety of pages and pockets. These children’s book don’t seem to make there way to the states. Thank for sharing!
Love this! A journal to my heart🥰
So great! Really enjoyed the flip through!
Gorgeous
Beautiful journal! I am a new sunbird. UA-cam recommended your video to me. Love the bright colours and the pockets filled with cut-outs! 💐Marnel
I love your eye for design and colour. Thank you for sharing. It's a very sweet journal. Maybe go bigger for selling?
Love it it is amazing
I would love to purchase that journal
❤❤❤
Thanks Raphael! This is my own but I will be making more soon, stay tuned!
Love Lucie Attwell books and this little journal is gorgeous. Just a tip if you want to use older book pages, give them a coat each side with a good gel medium which will protect them and you can still write on them if you need to. If you do decide to sell the fussy cuts from Lucie Attwell, please contact me with first option. The fashion fussy cuts arrived safe and sound this week and are lovely. Thanks for sharing this video and for good service. Regards Joan.
Thanks Joan! Do you have a specific gel medium product you use? Im very new to using special products… i’m usually just a glue stick gal haha :)
Have just found you and really enjoy your videos. Please keep them coming. Like how you use only vintage papers. Your approach is unique compared to most of what I’ve seen. Can’t get your cookbook video out of my head. 💖
So cheerful. Make one with an eye to selling and give it a try.
Your fussy cutting is amazing. Do you use a special scissors? Love the journal.❤❤❤
Lots of people ask me this haha!! I use the most basic $3 marbig orange school scissors, and a steady hand :) I love fussy cutting so it helps haha!
new subbie from Perth WA 😊 You've done a fabulous job...great detail, lots of variety yet still cohesive 👍
Hi there! Im from Perth too :) thanks for your comment!
Just found you and subscribed...love your content!! : )
Also just purchased from your shop...I loved sewing with my Mom and sisters (and so I adore images from sewing patterns from the 40's through the 70's!), and really appreciate the time it took to fussy cut and and assemble these kits. Thank you so much!! : )
Thanks so much Nancy! Putting your order together now :)
Hi again
To answer your question on UA-cam. I prefer Liquitex or Matisse but make sure you get a Matt and not a gloss with whatever brand you use.
Have a great day
Kind regards
Joan.
I would love for you to make a little golden book journal with those precious children you fussy cut...I tried to find you etcy shop and couldn't find it
Try pickypulp.etsy.com it should take you there :)
I’m yet to make a LGB journal but would love to make some with my Disney golden books!
