Best strat for the ottomans: 1- deport the leader of the land owners make sure he becomes an abolitionist and a jingoist takes his place. For this before firing the existing guy, you can hire a general with good fame who is a LO and a jingoist. its not hard to find 2- invite the exiled guy as an agitator, fire the intelligentsia from the goverment and reduce the wages for the bureaucrats to lowest 3- with the help of the jingoist LO guy pass the professional army and colony laws and wait for the agitator to abolisihing slavery via revolution 4- when all this done give leadership to the agitator and pass the law for abolishing serfdom then you have too little problems left
I dislike how the French always magically win despite being outmatched and outnumbered. Hello Tobias from Turkey. I have watched some of your videos and I want to give a criticism about your economic control. Your economic control is quite slow compared to other players and my way of playing as well. So maybe you can be more aggressive about construction sector to enhance faster. Your videos are enjoyable, though. Have a good time 😊
It really depends on the type of video I'm making as to whether or not I go hard into economy. This video was only meant to show the process of completing the Tanzimat Entries so I really just ignored the economy all together. My Anhalt video is a better representation of me actually putting effort into building the economy.
I failed the suppress separatism tanzimat by annexing Tripolitania on the rationality that it would keep me from losing the land if I failed the reforms... so yeah that kinda backfired
FIY: Ottomans has large part of their Army composed of Regiments from NOT accepted Cultures (Balkan = European Heritage, while Turks are Middle Eastern) So you will have hard time to enlist Ofifciers for this regiments. My advice is to disband your Balkan regiments as soon as you conquer Egypt and instead build 100 regiments in Lower Egypt (with plenty peasants ready to fill up ranks). But dont forget to issue 'Social Mobility' edict there, as Officers need to be literate to some degree. Bonus tip for defeating France every time any time: France has one little island near Madagascar, which is never defended (by troops or fleet) so you can easily naval invade them there, and just watch their warscore drop to -100 (if you take war reparations as primary war goal) 😉
Yes, you really do need to take persia because it is one of the only annexable country that wont throw you into dissaray cause of discrimination as persian is moddle eastern. Also i know both buffs for finishing the sick man of europe are both pretty bad but military is much better than claims that will just give you discrimination and infamy. I believe both transylvania give you 24 infamy even if its a claim
It is, I mentioned it at the end because I kinda forgot to do it in the beginning. I also wanted to avoid the infamy to make it less likely for Russia to get involved in my war against Egypt.
The sick man of Europe being completed gives you claims of Greece so you can take it without any big Infamy penalties, and Hedjaz will become your protectorate once you reduce Egypt to a puppet.
@@Notphenix yeah but unless you just want to starve the people for their 20$ in total you might as well just conquer them and have the crappiest "state" in the game
Actually that part comes next, Once you get the Sick man of Europe done you get claims on all of Greece. This way you're able to annex them for barely any infamy at all.

Imagine not knowing how to actually play the game then uploading videos on it. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.
This comment is so funny cause like who gaf anyone can play any game and by extension they can record it lol
I remember my biggest gripe with the Ottomans was the fact that you could just have a civil war and you’d be okooly dokooly.
Yeah they patched that a while ago. Civil war flipping is still useful in situations but not nearly as much as it used to be.

You really should use "Corn Laws" to fix some of your legislations in your playthroughs!
Honestly yeah probably, I kinda forgot it existed to be honest.
It’s impossible to get grain to be expensive enough for corn laws as ottomans, how do you do it?
