This is pure nostalgia as I had this record and just listened to it incessantly, much as one might with an album of music. Never cobsidered it before but this is probably responsible for a later love of experimental drone / noise artists. Ahhh, what I wouldn't have given to work for the BBCRW, getting paid to get new sounds out of the Delaware and to create tape loops etc - Great work if you can get it! 😀
Blake,s Seven was awesome in billions of ways with its female arch-enemy Servalan herself I cannot see B7 without Servalan as the arch-enemy and she made Blake,s Seven so good in billions of ways
i used to absolutely love listening to a bbc record very similar to this which i found somewhere when i was 16, only i reckon it was perhaps side 1? or..i dunno. i think it also had some fantasy type stuff on it? like analogue stuff with "wizard appearing" type vibes/titles.
Yes, the one you referred to is Out of this world. We had it in the '70s & some of the sound effects scared the hell out of me back then, such as "evil rises up", "Spectres in the wind" & "Desert sands".
Orac’x noises always amused me, like if an angry bee could speak.
Love the orb first album reference in the vid description
I know somebody who would lovvvvvvvve these ....

Remember the classic Fireman Sam episode, "Bentley The Robot"?
Well here's the source for the character... 13:13
