6:55 varudras is supposed to still have 1 material here. He detaches 1 material for cost, and then on res you can decide if you want to detach the second. If hes negated at res he keeps the second material.
I'm sitting out this format. looks just as boring as the one we are in right now before INFO. Just doesn't seem fun in any capacity.

If they hit snake eye and problem cards like pupet lock, d barrier,shifter,calamity format would be nice and a lot of decks could compete at high level

as far as SE goes since we don't know if Link 2 will be imported in INFO or not it's hard to say. You're pretty much going to only play Fiendsmith stuff over other engine slots as well, so you might lose something like 2 Black Witch and some other stuff and replace them with a minimal FS package (3 level 6, 1 spell, 1 Lurrie should be the smallest package), or replace the Kash engine with it.
There's a lot of testing that needs to be done, and right now Kash engine might be just as good, if not better, in pure SE (OCG never found out since they banned Fenrir really early), but when/if they hit Kash stuff, SE stuff, or release Link 2, the engine gets a LOT more attractive.
13:50 they could've kinda fixed this just summon SP in emz. princess is still co-linked to zealantis so it is still a pop 2. but definitely linking off flamberg was better, cause then they have princess, apo, zeal, sp (before they tag it out) all co linked
Am I missing something? Promethian says "destroy them, and if you do, special summon this card." If she doesn't destroy either target, would she still summon?

If you’re playing board breakers and you perfectly draw ALL of them (Drnm, Talents, Droplets), and still can’t beat the “standard Snake-eyes endboard”, then you need to heavily reconsider your strategy.
Or you can think outside of the box and activate gravekeepers inscription and win
if you ask me, he screwed up G1, legit he was greedy for no reason
all he had to do start with ruler, and if tries to go for SP through IP that was placed by flameberdge, than he chains droplet and his ttt would be alive.
I think the fiendsmith cards individually are very strong, but they don't add much to snake eyes as a splash currently. It might change a bit when the link 2 gets imported and you can bridge into their engine easier, but you're cutting cards that do come up from the ed to fit them in.
I also don't think they really do what you want a secondary engine to do in snake eyes per se. They are good into a board but still aren't enough to consistently break them. I think a deck like rescue ace where they solve a lot of issues, letting hydrant one cards end up into full combo and the deck plays well enough into a snake eyes board the extra gas could be enough to let you consistently break one.
3:43 Chaos Summoning Beast makes Opening into one-card Yama or Closed World, which you would need Almiraj and a discard to make Closed World otherwise, since Dark Beckoning Beast can't search a second copy of itself. The card sucks on its own though obviously.

Also the reason people play the other target for beckoned is because in case they opened all 3 beckoned

No, it's not. The reason is Beckoning searching Gates searching Beckoning gives you 2 bodies for your basic play, meanwhile if you open Gates you can't get 2 bodies. Gates gets Beckoning that gets a 2nd Gates (unusable) meanwhile if there is another target Beckoning gets that and you have the 2 bodies for Yama etc

@@babrad no the reason was due to Closed sky link 2. making Dark beckoning or Opening full Fiendsmith and yubel combo. there isn't a reason to play it without it. the deck plays enough low level 0/0 fiends that we don't need to search Chaos Summoning to play. so what if the 2nd gates is "unusable" it gives you follow up next turn. plus it's a good discard for gates since you can potentially add it back later.

Chaos Summoning Beast (CSB) Post INFO is ONLY good if we got the Goddess Link-2 since just Opening of the spirit gates would equal full fiendsmith yubel combo. Opening search Dark Beckoning Beast (DBB), DBB search CSB make Link 2, go into Requim then full combo. without the Goddess Link-2 it could technically still lead to unchained Promethean princess lines but it's not as good. and not worth the brick. they probably saw the OCG deck list and copied it and replaced Goddess with a random extra deck spot (after watching they most likely replaced it with Abyss actor. no OCG lists played it and as far as I know most in the TCG don't and it's only used in super combo lines for yubel) or play super poly with super poly targets.
I’m very curious what exactly the synergy between Fiendsmith and Yubel is. Making Yama can’t be it
a lot of bodies, basically how you play any link spam deck.
You can do the full fiendsmith combo starting from the yubel combo and vice versa with zero issue.
Also the only yubel weakness was his reliance on Lotus/Spirit resolving, now you are basically forced to stop the fiendsmith engine so Lotus has more chances of resolving
@@andreabrighenti761 No you cannot. Moon isnt out and there is no connection between Yubel and Fiendsmith. You cant get from Yubel to Fiendsmith and vice versa. You can play it, but then you're playing 2 seperate engines. Then you're either cutting non-engine space which the deck doesnt have or you're cutting on Yubel engine, which is also not optimal
@@David-hw9si Fiendsmith doesnt make that many bodies and Yubel doesn't need bodies. It needs level 10s to make Varudras. Yubel has no issues making Apo on its own. All you're doing is adding more engine to your deck that doesnt have enough engine, resulting in you cutting engine form your deck. The Fiendsmith cards are already not good going second and the yubel engine isnt great going second either.

I never get the yugioh player mentality to always hate on the #1 deck. Wanting change is fine but, they all get hit eventually, that’s just how ygo goes, some formats just have less variety and a clear best. I know for a fact if some people see a dragon link type deck now they’ll say, wow I love dragons! But 4, 5 years ago? Imo why waste energy, when there will always be a new best deck to hate
the problem is when the best deck is 300% efficiency with a gazillion of non engine, and the games becomes handtrap war till the first one who draw enough startes win

@@Lian00 yeah I get the problems with snakeye specifically but idk, imo it feels like ygo players should just know how Konami operates with tcg at this point. To me it’s just nothing to get so worked up over anymore but maybe I just lack passion
