I got this iV Pro. The team at hydros has been great but there is still some refinement that needs to be done with some of their product and software. This is one of them. System is very sensitive to bubbles new users be mindful of this. I calibrated the pumps multiple times using a calibrated scale but I still found that for whatever reason the calculation for the reagent reservoir to be off. Also the sample bottle of reagent was perfect worked right out of the box but the Coralvue concentrate was way off. Instructions say to mix 1:4 I found I had to do 1:3 otherwise I would max out the result offset and the value would still be way off. And I am using a high accuracy scale to make my 1L of reagent. After working all that out it’s working fine.

I should point out that I also have a trident. Apex customer service leaves a lot of be desired, which is the main reason I am sticking with hydros on my new system. At the end of the day they all have issues. My trident randomly gives me values out of left field(1dkh off). I know not to trust it when it does this. I run a retest and it usually tests correctly. This is one area the iV shines if it gets a weird test it will retest automatically. Once up and running the iV has been very accurate and precise.

I have not had an issue with mixing the concentrated reagent. I mix 250ml of reagent with 1000ml of DI water for the 4 to 1 mix. I also had air bubbles in the tubing for the reagent when it was newer. I clean out the reagent tubing using a syringe and squishing the tubing as I injected the water with the syringe. That took care of the air bubbles for me. Also another issue for some is that the fill line between your sump and the iv may be too long. That will cause inconsistent readings that are usually low. the fill pump if using a smart doser does the second drain and empties the tubing. It does a prime sequence and then uses the drain pump to empty the beaker. If you watch and do not see at least some rise in the level in the beaker during the prime sequence then your tubing may be too long.

In the video you said Coralvue recommends EPA (Trimetric pH 4.5 Δ 4.2) In the online setup guide it says the NEMI (Trimetric pH 4.5) is what Coralvue recommends. I'm trying to get clarification on which method is best. Is the setup guide outdated? Did Coralvue change the recommend method? Thanks in advance.

@ The first iV mixer didn’t work, the beaker is glass so easily can break(which one did), the probes(ph & salinity)which are placed in the iV have to be set just right to read correctly but never did. The alk reading was incorrect always read 12 and when I tested it was between 8 and 9. Salinity was all over the place. When I would do a remote test which is basically filling the iV and then draining it(doing a reset) it would either show an error on the app or give me the false readings. I just recently removed it and returning it back to the LFS I bought it from. And BTW the owner of the LFS installed it

@@knels5288 That sucks. I’m rooting for Hydros, especially the Maven, but this isn’t good news.

Hydros is okay but I wish I had went apex. You shouldn’t have to sell a product so much. Its a turn off
