KL is a heaven for homeless.not only for locals but illegal immmirants too.free meals at fixed hours...free healthcare at government hospitals and pocket money to be part time beggars.malaysians fond of giving and donating as part of their life.
U know that this street is right next to the tourist spot? I was a tourist to kl just a few days ago and I think to myself that homeless people are alway near to tourist spot.

These people have the same rights as citizens in a good economic situation, all the Constitutions have as a priority the right to life of citizens, therefore, what must be done is to bring to the courts of justice those responsible for them there are poor or homeless people.
Only a few, mostly not Malaysia citizen, they are outsiders. Malaysian Government always aware of this and I'm sure action will taken to this very small numbers of unlucky people (in Malaysia).
Many of them are drug user/immigrants. FYI most of the night u can see a group of volunteers will provide them a food/drinks. If someone offering for a job they will reject the offer because they prefer to live in that way.
This is KL; at pasar seni mrt area & purple line bus stop. You don't walk alone there. This is like a Pakistan or bangladesh village. You won't know until you stay long enough or immigrated here to know this place.

I remember some one told me about being institutionalized for being homeless. There were alway fights and argument in the shelters and their freedom weee restricted. So I guess that why they dun want government shelter.

I know it's not in the heart of Tokyo, but it's just proof that everywhere in this world, there's always homeless people. I doesn't matter if one country is rich or poor. orang indonesia cuma 9% yang miskin dari 100% penduduk kalau dihitung banyak juga krn indo punya 270 juta penduduk, tapi mereka tau adat malu tidak mungkin jd homeless malah dipandang rendah jd mereka sadar,walaupun ada kemungkinan bertemu walau sedikit 1-2 orang di jakarta krn, tapi mereka tdk mungkin datang di ibu kota jakarta ada di kota besar lain juga ada walau sedikit di kota jakarta mereka sama kaya pendatang dri desa atau daerah lain di indonesia, kalau di jakarta mereka itu tinggal dipinggir kota.🙏🏼

Setelah Indonesia menjadi lebih berkembang dan maju, slum area dimusnahkan oleh Pemda, maka keluarlah orang² (yang tak mau maju) menuju ke tempat lain, alhasil mereka akan menjadi homeless karena sudah tidak ada slum area lagi

homeless kt malaysia bukannya 100% warga tempatan ada juga warga asing, JKM malaysia ada sahaja sedia tempat tinggal semantara pakai mkn minum tapi hanya untuk pada warga tempatan sahaja, serta JKM malaysia akan carikan mereka kje.. tapi end of day mereka akan kembali jadi homeless alasan utamanya mereka lebih selesa serta bebas hidup jadi homeless, tidak terikat dengan commitment bulanan seperti duit sewa rumah/bilik, bill api/air & lain-lain lagi.

Alhamdulillah di Surabaya ga ada homeless, org Miskin memang masih ada tapi org macam ini tdk ada. Lebih baik bekerja gaji sedikit dari pada jadi gelandangan/Gembel jalanan.
