Here is my homage the late, great Alan Rickman. Obviously I'm not a patch on him, but I wanted to post my own little dedication to him and a reminder of the amazing performances that he's given us to enjoy forever. Plus, I met him a long time ago and he was lovely.
Professor Snape is here to instruct you through your first Potions Class at Hogwarts. You’ll learn how to make a few different mixtures, as well as learn a little bit more about potion making and what it entails.
There are a few triggers, including my terrible impression of the late Alan Rickman, bubbling sounds, tapping sounds, grinding sounds, fizzing sounds, as well as some generally relaxing sounds in the background. Enjoy!

Thats the thing about the casting of the films. Harry's parents, Snape, Remus, Sirius and Peter were just 21 when harry's parents died. Therefore the rest were only 33ish by the time of the first book. However the casting looked significantly older.
Apart from the age the cast was impeccable though.

This is Snape if he got over Lily, mourned her in a healthy manner, got over his childhood bullying and actually used his knowledge to be a GOOD teacher. Merlins beard this is all I wanted Snape to be!!! 💚🤍 and you look like Snape if he was portrayed in the movies as the age he was in the books...💚🤍

While I agree he should have been younger in the movies, alan rickman portrayed snape so well! He even appeared younger than he actually was! Rickman ruined the roll of snape for anyone else that might eventually try to play it. If they attempt to make remakes I pity the actor that tries to emulate snape better than rickman.

This video makes me wonder if this was early career Snape trying some positive reinforcement - before the despair of teaching dunderheads had him taking points left, right and centre.

As incredible as Rickman was and his mannerisms and speech patterns he gave to Snape were perfect. Alan was so much older then Snape was supposed to be. I pictured Snape a bit younger and calmer. Your portrayal is insanely good holy shit. If you ever wanted to do another roleplay as Snape I don't think anyone could complain.

I understand why however you have to remember that he can't be that much younger in the books otherwise the timings wouldn't make sense. After all he is the same age as Lily amd James who were 21 when they died. Only 20 when Harry was born. If he was any younger it would seem a bit wierd with ages.
@@sam_laufeyson_monroe he must have been like 31 in the first movie. He was around same age as Lily and James, and they died at 21 as you said, Harry was 11 in the first movie. Therefore, he would be around 31 or 32. I don’t know if he was a bit older then Lily. He can’t be younger than her, since he was in the scene were she got sorted. He just have been 1a or twelve I believe.

This strikes me as being from an alternate reality where Snape was less jaded and bitter towards the world and became a fairer and better teacher for it. I mean he's giving points to a house other than his own for one thing! I like this version better. He's still a bit snippy and sassy but not downright hostile.

I’m sitting in our kitchen watching another one of your masterpieces and my son walks in. He’s staring into the pantry and leans back and looks at me and asks “are you watching Harry Potter? Though I'm not a huge Harry Potter fan at all, I loved Alan Rickman as an actor, and really enjoyed his portrayal of Snape. You've done a really impressive and beautiful job here.
Rickman's Snape had an unforgiving air of tension, and however beautifully acted - that just was not relaxing. Your version is kinder and more humble, I thought. Leave alone the, erm, chemical reaction - which had me laugh enough to scare the cats off the bed 😂
