Day trip to Tabarca Island | Alicante, Spain

- Today we took a day trip Tabarca Island with our friends Becca and Bill and what an incredible day we had! We got the ferry from the Torrevieja port which cost us €24 return. The ferry left the port at 11am and we had to be back on the ferry to come back at 6pm. We bought the tickets last minute and got straight onto the ferry so don't worry about booking them in advance! The ferry took an hour, and we would definitely recommend sitting on the inside, like we did on the way back...much smoother! Take plenty of water, snorkelling gear and a packed lunch..although you can buy food there! The island itself felt very small so you can definitely explore it in one day, but as there are so many beaches, we will be going back for sure! Our favourite beach was surrounded by caves..was just awesome! Even though I have lived near here for almost 14 years, I can't believe we have never visited this place before, truly made us feel like we were on holiday...maybe somewhere in Greece! Everything about this island is alluring. The clean lines of the buildings, the succulents growing on the rocks, and the frickin' blue, blue water. So cool to have this magical place so close to where you live. Love the cats mingling under the tables of the lunch spot. New friends here!

Snorkeling there would have been so fun. Those were great shots. Also really cool drone shots. What a really fun place. You guys know how to have fun, that restaurant had a great vibe.
It really was! Was so awesome to go out for a swim then to climb into a cave...loved it! Glad you liked the drone shots... literally everyone on the beach was just staring at me and im still such a new flyer, i was so nervous hahahaha!! The restaurant was really cool, very Spanish..lovely!!

MillieMoments I WISH we lived by the sea! We are in the Chicago area, so we are only by Lake Michigan. We are not traveling to any states near the ocean since they are becoming the hardest hit with Covid-19. We will travel vicariously through you! Lol

I know..was so bumpy, our stomachs were doing flips the whole time lol.. I know right, I had no idea how small the place was until I sent the drone up, lovely and small! Nooo I didn't jump off the cliff haha, but I was so lucky when I was flying the drone I had no idea they were gonna jump and I was in the perfect spot for it! Great footage! We missed the boat from Torrevieja and went from Santa Pola instead (we didn't go snorkeling either, and wasn't there as long as you)- the boats are more frequent from Santa Pola and it only cost us 15€ each return...

By any chance, would you remember the name of the store where you bought the snorkeling equipment or how much one mask costed?
Sorry I don't remember the name, but it was the shop straight after the big arches, I think it was around 15 euros if I remember correctly. I would definitely recommend getting a mask and snorkel before you go. Thanks Millie, I never realised there was a ferry from Torrevieja, we normally go from Santa Pola, 10-15eu return depending on time of year and which boat, what do they charge from Torre?
To be honest, apparently the Santa Pola one is better...Quicker and cheaper, but I didn't know at the time, and Torrevieja is closer to us :) From Torrevieja its €24 return! Thanks for watching Andrew 😊
