This was my first time going to dragoncon and this was the day I went, it was amazing I saw a lot of unique costumes. Like that one dragon thing, that thing was about 9 feet tall in person pretty scary for someone who's only 5'5

When and where is it best to see all the costumes? I didn’t see very many, maybe I was early or not in the right place Saturday.

During the day the best place is behind the Hilton, outside where all the big steps are. Folks gather there for big group photo shoots, so lots of costumes.
After dark the best place is in the Marriott atrium, but I find a lot of the very best costumes wait to come out 'til after 8PM.
If you were there early Saturday, odds are most of the big cosplays were recovering from the parade, and so weren't out and about.
