Man, if someone was sitting with their feet up on their desk I would turn around and leave. I still have a lot to learn...
Go to work for someone you like, admire and trust. Normal tendency is for graduates to gravitate to name brands. What matters more is that you like what you are doing and who are you doing it with. Great advice at the end!
Mohnish, it is a real pleasure listening to you. Thx.
It's always worth to spend time on his videos .. ❤️
I eagerly wait for your video uploads, it's a lucky weekend for me :)
Thanks for your timeless & valuable lessons! 🙏🏻
Love from Bihar, India 💛
Thank you for your lessons. You're my inspiration!
Thank you Mohnish, that cinch mental model was an eye opener. :)
Thanks Mohnish, always enjoy the stories of chats with Charlie!
How many golden nuggets! Thanks Mohnish
Thanks Mohnish for sharing your wisdom so generously..
Thank you Mohnish for sharing your Knowledge.
An ocean of learning and insides is our Pabrai sir. He always adds values in our mind . An unbaised communicator and teacher. Love your style of padding yourself !!! You are my mentor (Guru) and love to see once in my life. God bless you!!
I appreciated especially your comments on the shipping business. I learned my lesson last year when I was too bullish with a certain shipping company and ended up with a ridiculous price. I've done better since and increased my exposure on shipping (bulk, LNG and ferries) and learning a lot on the way. Thank you for sharing your insights with us Mr Pabrai 🙏
Thank you for sharing!
Hi Mohnish. Thanks for continuing to share these talks.
I love the music! Thank you for everything you do
After long time, nice to see you

A cup of chai with Pabrai
If you want to become wiser then "read, read and re-read", this is the only way to do that.
I agree
He was awarded the KPMG award..
Also He was recently banned from Vegas Casinos for major blackjack winnings 😂😂😂
I lost it at " but for a cheapskate like me, you know... at 15x earnings you lost me", hahaha
Thank you for going into such detail in shipping industry. Would love to hear more of such past investments in details, even losses too. Great learning lessons
I agree about circle of competence, I just starting out and I think I have an edge in some areas. But when I start looking around others than my circle, I really freaked out, cause although I do know 1 or 2 things, it just not enough to put money in companies I don't have confidence over
The shipping dynamics Mohnish describes sounds like what we have today. Old fleet, low rates, increased scrap prices, higher oil demand, new regulations that limits new building. A nice setup?
Yes. Monish doesnt seem to going for it this time.
shhh
Mohnish sir thanks for such great Insight. plz tell us name of website from where we can check shipping rates ?
He was lucky to get out of Frontline... I rode that puppy to the bottom. Lost 90%..
i like the music, where can i find it
who wants to watch this
"For the individual or institution really out to make a fortune in the stock market it can be argued every sale is a confession of error" - Thomas Phelps.
Monish, maybe you can try dollar cost average on these amazing businesses like costco...
At 1:19:38 - what does Pabrai say? Laudible track record? Auditable track record? Can't understand the word. Thanks!
the questioners should go through his previous presentations and avoid asking repeated questions. He has mentioned how he goes with picking up stock a thousand time and you go back asking him again...?
Hi Monish - how’s the biking / weight loss going?
Does anybody know the story behind the Gogia Pasha poster? It seems like a strange counter to the Munger bust...
He is Mohnish’s grandfather.

I wonder what two business Pabrai has that he considers cinches. It's hard to know since he invest a lot outside of the U.S.
NICE Holdings Co Ltd
Sunteck Realty Ltd
Rain Industries Ltd
Edelweiss Financial Services Ltd
Reysas Tasimacilik ve Lojistik
Shinoken Group Co Ltd
List of the companies where he is invested currently outside USA...still I have to listen video but usually he talks about last 2 companies from above list
@Jigar saraiya where can one find such information?
Golden opportunity to buy RYSAS? Or start of implosion?
when did he buy rysas first?
Interesting apparently they're doing rights offering? So stock dilution. Presumably Pabrai funds can participate on those rights so they can double down.
@@maithem212 what brokers rysas?
I had a two questions
1) which are his two Sintch stocks about which he is talking about
2) where to find a list of his personal portfolio
Hi brad can we get some insights of real estate market like mohnish sir said about ship 🚢 business in upcoming videos.
Never sell a business for non-business reasons
The problem I have with most investors that are seemingly doing well, is that they definitely dodge when asked what do they do specifically when it comes to becoming competent in a particular industry or when you ask them about how they approach valuation.
