- Yeah I know the first clip is a S130 but today we're talking about the S30 Datsun 240Z, Datsun 260Z, and Datsun 280Z: the first generation of the legendary Nissan Z car. This probably isn't 90s enough for you to care about but watch it anyway, these cars are hot on god.

First half 260z is carb, second half 260z have fi. 260z are 1974 only. 260z and 280z are only single throttle bodied. Big bumpers start at mid 1974 and end at 1978. Bought my 1978 for $1750. It's in pretty decent shape since it's originally a Cali car and then stored in a garage in Neb. for the last 15 years.
Good summary, thanks bruh (pinned)
I live in Vegas now but any chance you are in Omaha? I remember seeing one by UNO I used to take pictures of it when I first started car photography
@@ronaldduff492 I don't live in Omaha, but yeah I'm around there a lot. I go to the ice cream cruise.
What a throwback, when i first joined the discord server i was obsessed with these cars, and was convince i would buy a project 280z as a first car, but through discovering this channel i go some sense talked into me, thanks ccf, and as always the video is fucking ballin!
Still not a bad project car if you have the space, time, and expertise to actually finish it… As a first car??? Not so much 😅
All 240s had the small bumpers, all other s30s had big bumpers, but it is really easy to swap, and a lot of companies make replica slim bumpers
Kind of the case in the US anyway. 260z first half have small bumpers the second half 260z have 5-milers (in the US). All s30z in Japan got small bumpers.
12345 special is aproaching😎 nice to see your channel growing guys continue talking shit as well as you do !
😤 SOON
GG on 12k guys!
edit: Netgear, GET A Z31!
YT build series!

These cars with suped up engines (ie hot rod esc not modernized) sound fucking incredible, Robello built engines or even the 432 just sound absolutely amazing… (there’s a good clip of a 432 at the end of Jason Cammisa’s video on the 240Z on Hagerty’s yt)
I loved my '79 280ZX. My brother got it from a buy here/pay here lot for $500 because they couldn't fix it. It just needed a clutch. He never got to put it on the road though and he ended up giving it to my parents to repay a loan he got from them. I had an old Honda Civic at the time and my folks didn't want a sports car so I traded my Civic for it. I drove it daily for years and slowly got it back up to about 90% restored (depending on what % you consider a full paint job). I even delivered pizza for pizza hut for a few months in it. You wouldn't believe how many people would flag me down in traffic to try and buy the car from me. Some of them offered some pretty damn good offers and with the benefit of hind sight, I wish I had taken them up on their offers. I rear ended someone in the rain some time later on my way home from visiting my parents to pick up my tax refund check and bent the frame and front end all up. It currently sits somewhere under a lean-to barn in eastern NC. Technically I still own it as I never signed the title over to anyone else.
My friend was diehard dedicated to finding a 240Z project as his first car, before "settling" for a 5MT Toyota Sera Project. Which hasn't run in months.
Man that’s a wild pivot
It was down to a 240Z, a Sera or a Saab wagon. He has diverse taste
"it's just covered in caulk, it's just caulk everywhere"
Lets see what you guys think of the current G35 6spd market 😂
that was a bottle of valentina on top of the brown 2+2 280
22:39 cool to see S13 shift knob and dash cracks retrofitted to a 22k 240Z
Hahaha
Y'all need to make those subaru stickers to fit over the actual xxx bar vapes. I'd totally rock one. 😂
I have a blown up poster of the fd’s vacuum line diagram. It helps keep me grounded
78 would have fuel injection.
Got my 73 Z in 2015 for 5K, Larger 280zx L28 motor for $200
I've replaced the floors, frame rails, all the wiring, repainted the interior and engine bay, put in new headers and exhaust, new driver seat, new bushings, new springs and shocks, swapped the carbs over to the L28, rebuilt the carbs and re-jetted them. I also rebuilt the gas tank, replaced the alternator, radiator and put in an electric fan. Its prolly worth 20K. Its stupid how much they appreciated for the amount of work most of them require
Great work!
Midway through 74 the 260’s got the big bumpers.
There's a guy right down the street from my home that has a pretty good 280zx unmolested. I asked him if he was selling and he said he wasn't....that was a year ago and the car is still sitting, it hasn't moved. What's worse is that he has a 2000 odyssey with spinners and a spoiler....
9:57 so weird to see a magnum hood scoop on the back window
Having a 90s spec modded s30 that's period correct would be absolutely beautiful
Was looking at getting one for a while and found that the 280ZX is typically in WAY better condition for the money, all fuel injected too. Dashes never seem to be cracked. Yeah the S30 is an insanely beautiful car and the S130 isn’t quite as nice, but it looks just as good lowered on watanabes-as they should be.
s130 is really sharp looking in my opinion, no s130 but still dope, the L series is kind of a nightmare when it comes to fuel injection sadly, making it better carbureted, but if you are one of the wizards that figured it out, they can be very very fast, and reliable
I live literally down the block from the yellow 280zx lmao
i am enjoying my new stickers
*very nice*
Franz is the most eclectic man on youtube
Any z shell with solid floors/rails is a win. 77 and 78 l28 engines were efi
...alright we gottem
Looking at Datsun's eh? Datusn 810/ Maximas would be a chill addition to the site ;)
FINE
@@CollectorCarFeed thanks 🍻😏
"HA! alright we got him"
10:52 you can hear feed talking post vape rip
9:44 - damn; hope this went to “A GOOD” home….
😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
15:18 - and those “BUMBERS” were a “FACTORY PART”???
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
20:17 - 😂😂😂😂
z31 video next? I love those just as much as the mk3 supras
We just recorded z31s Saturday, should be up next week!
@@CollectorCarFeed heck yeah!
Have those are rims in my basement lol
wait so the guy at 17:10 wants a whole fucking 38 grand for something that's a "restoration candidate"!!??
3:33 you can tell netgear doesn't handle the classics if you think you can pick up a 240z in that good of condition for 10k you need to go back to silvias
Please do Mitsubishi vr4s
We really should, added to the list
They already did lol
@@CollectorCarFeed thx man
@@bikecarbmayhem I’m referring to The Mitsubishi GTO or 3000GT. I’m pretty sure that was the Galant Vr-4 they did.
Holy crap these are cheap in the U.S still :o
What’s a nice s30 run you in yuroop
ONLY Z that looks better in 2+2 than 2 seater is the Z32, im glad we only got them here in Europe, cuz they for sure looks alot better like that.
COOOOOOOOOOOPE
Bumpers are Hugh Mungus
Humongous WHAT
Anyone buikding a z car i happen to have possesipn of a supercharged vg33er that runs like a top, in oregon
Anything over 1000 bucks is too much for an S30. The only S130's worth getting are 82-83 GL and Turbo cuz any other year you're just gonna be spending money to get the 82-83 parts. I won't buy another Datsun anyway, the clout tax has ruined them
typical 240 boy "my car has a 5 digit speedo"
FOR THE ALGORITHM
Indian racing brown
I have those swastika wheels on my s13
