I grew up speaking German with my German parents in America and relatives in Germany. But, my German is getting very rusty now that I don’t have anyone to speak German with anymore. But, I have been trying to learn Tagalog for the past couple of years with my Filipina girlfriend. She also tries to teach me Ilocanos. She has learned a few things in German from me. But, we mostly speak English and a little bit of Tagalog together.
I was literally forgetting my own language in my own country without being surrounded with people who speak my language 😂 I am an introvert and i haven't really talk to people but i was watching youtube and movies only in english 😂 I had to start listening to songs in my language cuz i was embarrassed on ajob interview that i wasn't able to express myself in my language 😭

hello, Emirates over booked the economy class and there was free seats in business and first class... so they upgraded some people from business class to first class and some economy people were lucky to fly business class for free (like us) :-)

I used to know a community of German expats retired men ,60 plus they lived around Puerto Galera white beach Mindoro that was the mid 90,s good men only they would booze themselves from morning till nite. most never made it back to Germany the alcohol was a killer especially when they would buy those chesp nasty bottles of rum or gin it was very sad they were good men. I doubt if any are alive today. Most would be late 80s. Rest in Peace ✌️ white beach was a great place back then and so close to manlia i had a nice little hut near the beach and little shop there was a nite club disco open during high season lived off fresh fish eggs chicken pork vegetables sometimes beef for a stew. There was a new Zealand man who baked german style bread. No digital nomads or internet i would drink a few bottles in the afternoon and enjoy alot of the local girls who would be happy for a pair of jeans a few tops and dinner and breakfast i made no promises to them and told them the truth i only have a certain amount of money they understood and some would still come over even bringing snacks their little comic book they read back in the day no cell phones way better than now.

Hahh the privacy in Germany is something else even in the EU xD i love that i can see anything in my country but i wanted to "visit" places on google maps from Germany and i found nearly nothing. 😢 Neufahrn is a very small place but i have such great memories to that place that i am still in love with that little town. Would be great sometimes to just "revisit" it at least on Google Maps.😅
