Making Concrete Bucket Anchors

  • After we had our carport go flying through the yard, I started looking for anchoring solutions. This setup seems to be the easiest and best way to anchor something without permanently placing the structure in the ground. Unfortunately the rebar setup didn't work, but if I had a better torch I would have continued with that route and then roped it down.

    Why didn't you cut the rebar and then weld ya a triangle eyelet? Flux core is a decent process for things like this.

    Would this technique work for piers/footers? In colder regions could frost heave be an issue?

      Almost the same concept, but i would mix it before putting it into a footer form

    So, I can just add water to the quickcrete without stirring? For this type of bucket project?

      I found on another project that if you poke around the quick retention and let's the water mix better. I've had these buckets though for over a year now with no issues
