WIRE CORE DOUBLE ASSIST HOOK - essential for slow jigging, double assist hooks are used to get the most balance on the jig as well as increasing the hook up ratio. This wire core double assist hook is one of the most requested because people are losing a lot of jigs from toothy fish. The addition of the wire core helps in limiting the number of jigs lost to toothy fish. Although the wire is there, it is not visible because it is made the core of the assist cord.

I have been using kevlar cord and braiding it like you have shown in earlier videos. Could one braid a strand of Mono or wire with it to make it more bite proof?
I only made that video just in case you can't get the right cords as I was in that situation before, but if you can buy the proper cords, BUY THE PROPER ONES. You can not just braid wire into these things, especially with slow jigging where every small thing counts. you might be able to get away with it for fast jigging, but still...buy the proper stuff to get the proper results.

@@TheFishingKit online is an option. Too be honest, i don’t what to look for. Does it have to be namebrand assistcord, or is there other types of cord that work the same, but are marketed differently?
you get what you pay for - if you are ok to lose a fish coz of this then all good. but when you hook a good one and lose it because of not using the proper things, then be ok with that and don't complain. :)
they are purpose made, so no other option. You can do what the americans do and use paracord - but like I said - don't complain if you lose a good fish because of this. My thing is, even if you are using the proper cords you lose fish - how much more with make do ones. @@BoMathys Regret always happens after the fact, never before!!!!
