Seeing comments from 7+ years ago are giving me chills, who knows where these people are or they are even still here with us today. RIP to anyone that has passed away in the chat man, damn this song is emotional.
Hard to believe that 12 years later, this song still brings up all the emotions, the memories, the mental images that it conjured for me as a teenager. It's one of those tracks that latches on to you and never quite goes away.
Whenever I'm feeling down, or I just need that extra bit of inspiration, I go to this song. Brazil, Bleed and Strobe (Not Club Mix) should be considered immune to hate. They are not progressive house, those songs aren't even techno. They are a manifestation of revelations, dreams, and life (respectively).
as a brazilian I'm fucking glad deadmau5 composed this. it broke the stereotyoped 'brazil' in such a beautiful way that even I am surprised. Jaw dropping song, amazing!
This , this is the music I live for , what I fell in love with over 7 years ago when I first new about electronic dance music, this is the music that is the roots of edm , this is something only a man or woman who has real emotions can create, simply amazing
Used to listen to this with my first girlfriend more than 10 years ago. We would cry and make love holding ourselves on the feeling this music transmits. Sometimes we would sleep with our mobile phones on all night long and just listen to this music before falling asleep, not talking at all. It really was a part of myself and honestly one of the best sounds I have ever listened to. Probably because of all the emotions it arouses when I do. 10 years later when I hear this, I still drop a tear and all this emotions come back. The brain wires itself with what you feed him and it's incredible just how as I close my eyes, I get to travel time and feel it as if it were now. Love has so much power when you stop defending yourself and just let go into it. That's the power of first love. Naive, pure and intense. Thank you Joel for this masterpiece. 🥲
6:31 of pure bliss. I can't find a single second that is wasted in the build-up, melody or outro. Each moment adds a new layer of anticipation before it all breaks down in one split second. Fucking Genius deadmau5 is.
When I hear this song, memories of long forgotten friends just pass my mind. Whether we just switched schools after summer break, moved to a different location, or even passed away. But it doesn't just leave me hanging, it makes me think of new possibilities, the new people I`ll meet, new memories I'll make. And the ending, it just feel like it's telling me to just wait for those moments, and cherish the ones you have.
Holy shit, I've never actually listened to this because I thought the 2nd edit would always be better so I didn't bother with this one. But this one fucking tops it on so many levels.
+Chrls Stotz 2nd edit has a more energetic happy feeling where as this one can describe many different emotions and has a feeling of self-discovery imo :P
I have a tattoo of 5 hearts on my right arm because of this song specifically, I remember hearing it for the first time when I was 15 and I just sat there and played it back over and over and over again. I cried, I smiled and I felt so many emotions run through me that I’ve never felt before it was the first time I fell in love around that time to and this song was everything I needed when love turned into heart break. This is the only song on this planet that brings on this feeling in me I’ve never felt before. It’s a feeling of just knowing everything is going to be okay but appreciate the sadness while it’s here. I’m 25 now and every now and then when I really need to just let out my emotions I’ll take a drive late at night and just let this play. Thank you so much for making this song.
Haven't listened to this in years, but i will never forget how it made me feel 10 years ago. How life was, what was happening, how i felt, it's all coming back to me.
2010-now, still adore this tune, takes me back to being 13 years old on a summer holiday in greece after just discovering deadmau5, 27 now, how time flies
i`m a brazilian and i dont even speak english. but, i want you to know, this music is so fucking amazing. Its been 6 years that I listen to this and man... is the same feeling every fucking time. Deadmau5, thanks for this!
Accidentally came across this track and haven't been able to stay away from it since then. This just gives me flashbacks of all the good and bad times I have had in my life, especially over the past decade or so, about the ones who are with me as well as about the ones who aren't there anymore. This is pure bliss!
Since I watched "Paraisos Artificiais", that music is on my playlist and I believe it's the song I like the most... It makes me fell really touched by some energy, and remember all good and bad moments. Best track ever.
DeadMau5 Thank you !!! ♥
Этому треку 16 лет, а я его впервые услышал, спокойный, грустный немного и как будто бы дает надежду на лучшее. Но все равно, прошло 16 лет... Как же время идет незаметно
Mousesports used this exact edit for their IMHO best Counter Strike 1.6 clan video ever back in 2008. This brilliant masterpiece was the first track I ever heard and I still call it my all time favourite!
I used to blast this in college back in 2011 on my mac's itunes app (pre-spotify). Idk where I found a copy of the song but I would always be confused to why it was called brazil when the official song was something else altogether. One day I found it on youtube. The climax at 3.45 for me beats the climax of Raise your weapon, right this second and dare I say Strobe itself.
I keep coming back to this, reminds me of the good times that happened and is happening...I miss my friends who died over the years, I miss my dad who also died(commented suicide on November24th 2014), yet remember that moment and most importantly this moment, life goes fast, one day the ones you live are gone forever, one day, you will be gone forever, so I guess what I am saying is, enjoy every moment, cresish it, all the ones you love, be in the now, if anyone feels like taking their lives, just know you are not alone and yes someone loves you..
fuck you, brazil is not only the jungle, have cities and have tv ... all you have, mainly Dubstep, incidentally will have Lollapalooza in April with deadmau5 in Brazil
Stylo plz Holy shit, nothing implied that he was being stereotypical. All he wanted was some sounds. Please stop overreacting on the internet and get a life
one of the last songs i heard going through my (now) old neighbourhood, Belmont, as my landlord wanted to retire and kicked us out, so we moved all the way to gosnells lol. this was the song that was in my head right as we were packing away and were planning on leaving the house (about a month back, early to mid february). i saw a youtube short of some random lady dancing with her kid and it's background music was some famous remix of a deadmau5 song, brazil 2nd edit i think, anyways i found deadmau5 originally made the song, but i always wanted to know what the original 1st version was, so i ended up finding this, fast forward a few days later. school hadn't started by then, as it was still late january, so i used to stay up til 2-3 in the morning of the hall in my old house which was huge and big. my sister left to europe so i could stay up in the hall without anyone getting distracted, so i'd just wear headphones for 1 hour straight listening to random stuff like this, and some other tunes that mean a lot to me rn. it really sucks cos this new place i live in is so far away from school, and belmont aka everything i love, and just before i left, i'd go around all the parks and i'd play music like this - the last 2 days i vividly remembered playing this knowing i'd never getto experience that ever again..
i love how some parts are repeating within a 6 bar form - i initially didnt see the resemblance between the first n second edits until i noticed even this one has the 6 bar form sorta through out - much like the second edit - after another listen lol
absolutely......AMAZING!! Deadmau5, your music is awesome and inspirational all at the same time. Don't ever stop. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!
Dustin Hoornaert this was originally meant for one of his friends passing. This song isn't supposed to be like the second edit. They're two completely different songs.
