Hope they can lower down the fine and make more drivers aware of this red light camera system making a right turn (via news and a traffic sign saying NO TURNING RIGHT ON RED LIGHT). Additionaly, car who made a complete stop on red light can get honked, yelled at very badly or even get a bad finger gesture that could lead to a road rage and even get rear ended by drivers not paying attention. It would be very tough to go around that turn and stay in the lane at that speed Most people who roll though right turns on red are under 10 mph. So without more information, it is tough to tell who is telling the truth.
@@hawksite I used to drive through that intersection all the time during my work commutes. That turn at that intersection isn't 90 degrees. It's like a 135 degree turn so cars can definitely take that turn faster. Either way, the speed shown on the photo is what he was doing at the time the camera was triggered. It doesn't mean he was doing a constant 40 throughout the turn. He could've been doing 60 approaching the sensors before braking, triggering the camera at 40 while still deceleration during the turn

you have to make a full stop before the stop line on red, then make the turn. it is a stop sign. otherwise you are running the red light. the time when you hit the stop line and when you complete the turn is recorded, and clearly stated on the ticket. they determine whether you ran the light by time, not the colour of your brake light.

If you turn right on a red but dont stop you are indeed running a red light. You need to stop before making a turn otherwise you'll get a ticket
