"Hey man, c'mon". That's not Dale Earnhardt talkin to Dale Jr., that's a Daddy talkin to his little boy who just did something Daddy had been doin for awhile
If Sr. Never dies Jr wins 50-60 races 2-3 cups. You can’t tell me he wasn’t kicking all sorts of ass early on. He never got over his fathers death and you can tell by the Hendrick years he was a depressed man. Talent don’t mean squat when your mind ain’t right.
@@_lucas_1k_ I have always thought he had a great chance to get number 8 that year. He was almost a reborn driver the year before. Was such a fun time to watch the races with my family back then.
DEI would've finished 1-2-3 at Daytona like Ford finishing 1-2-3 at Le Mans, Dale would've retired and gotten fully behind his son's career, Jr would've won 2-3 championships. Just one more fucking turn....

TheRandom Yeah, that is all Dale was chasing. DW on wins list and the 8th title. Also, Dale Jr had several bad crashes that gave him concussions and/or knocked him out. I think he was never the same driver though after the fire crash at Sonoma in the ALMS car though.
This was the first race I ever went to. It really was something else seeing Senior's black number 3 and Jr's red number 8 on the track together back then. I doubt there will ever be a time where NASCAR can become as epic as it was during the 90s.
It was the team, when it changed so did the wins. When Letarte got on board, he turned the ship around. I believe Jr. would have gotten championship or two had Letartre not retired.
@da324 his best CC Was Tony Sr with Tony Jr as car chief he was more focused originally because Big E was overseeing the race Team operations all he had to do was drive. Life post 01 daytona 500 was drastically different and he admitted he only raced to be closer to DEsr
I think Dale did not know how to say I love you like some dads could. We know he lived his kids, but I think his pride or manliness made it hard for him to be an emotional loving dad like most fathers.
Great memory for Dale jr!! Can you imagine, if Dale's Daytona wreck hadn't happened... Dale and Childress were so pumped, going into the 2001 season, after finishing 2nd in points in 2000... His success as a car owner would have had him racing hard for that 8th championship! I think he could have done it!!
@@easyenetwork2023 I reckon it would have been in NASCAR as a driver, he would still have had that itch to compete. Mike Joy said in his last conversation with Snr after doing the 24 Hours with Dale Jnr he described it as the best week ever and wanted to go Le Mans have driven the C5 Corvette.
yup so sad never even got a chance 2 race alongside his dad, he was on pit road as a sub driver but Adam's engine blew before Kyle even got into his car.
I just love how Sr yanks the guy out of the way..... he was just so proud to see Dale Jr win...... I can only imagine how many more times this would've happened, had Dale Sr. lived..... R.I.P. Dale Earnhardt Sr.... you are dearly missed by the NASCAR community
He may have been the intimidator on the track, but he was a proud papa in the winners circle. So sad he's gone. I have never watched another NASCAR race since the day he passed. The sport was not the same without him. RIP Dale. GOAT
We all should've gotten so many more of these moments. The Earnhardt's, NASCAR and the fans were robbed of so many special moments like this between father and son. Instead there were special moments that helped everyone mourn.
If i was racer and won my race in any of the main series, my dad would have done the same thing Dale done, yank everyone out the way to get to me. My father really loved Dale, and when i think about it, they have the same pride in themselves. Rip Dale Sr.
It's still bums me out jr only got 3 or 4 years to have the relationship he wanted with SR before it got taken from him. Glad he got these years tho, doesnt get better than that
I feel the same, I understand now getting older and having a dad like that growing up how things can change and Jr was finally was getting everything he dreamed of.
Yeah it sucks he never got to see him winning his first Daytona 500 and 10 years later winning it again! The success and popularity Jr had, Sr would’ve been so proud.
i could watch sr move the guy out of the way all day long, he was a father in the moment first wanting to be the first to be there for his son, i was a HUGE nascar fan when sr was alive the day he died for me so did nascar it never was the same after that for me even being a jr fan
Let's build a new DEI let's build another race team come on Dale Jr what are you waiting for we need you in NASCAR please build a new DEI and start two teams
The witch screwed him out of a company, so unless he gets a big boost in money or has the company back from her somehow, he's stuck with Jr Motorsports
i think this weekend would be perfect to break the winless streak, where he got his first win in both series!!!! come on JR, you can do it damn it!!!!!
Still is. Heck, there isn't a wall separating the track and pit road at MIS. He could have just as easily driver through the grass and onto pit road to go back to the garage. Then he would have been long gone by the time the cars got back to the start finish line.
@Legofattythatfarted Sr was married 3 times, Kerry was his child from his first marriage, his second marriage produced Kelley and Jr, Theresa was his 3rd wife and Taylor came from her.
LMAO....at like 1:47 when Theresa hugs Jr just look at his face...kinda like "wtf"...then he still looks at her a few more times with the same look...lmao
That all depends. If the wreck occurs well after the start finish line and there isn't a group of cars a good ways back from it, then yes, don't throw the yellow and Nascar has been using this practice under the GWC rules, I no I've seen a number of races were it ended - White Flag - Wreck - No caution. 4yrs ago at Michigan the last lap yellow had debri on the track and a car in the grass by the start finish line when they threw the yellow. I loved the way Dale grabbed that guy as he approached the car of his son. You are missed sir, very much.
Yes I agree ,we miss you champ,
Loved? So you don’t love it anymore?
Dale had no F**ks to give about the cameras. he just wanted to enjoy it with his son.
Roy Stone ikr lol
You must not know how their relationship was. Listen to his podcast, he dad was a dick head to him
Love how Dale Sr just yanks that dude out the way
Me too lol, he was getting to his son first!
I know Dale is just like OUTTA MY WAY M8
Havoc Addict ikr
lol That's somethin' I'd do.
It was one of his employee's from DEI, was there to give Dale Jr his sweat towel and victory lane hat along with a drink of his choice

I have to agree. Jr's career would have been completely different. Also believe Sr would have retired after 2001/2002 to focus on DEI.

Man everything about the Bud era of Jr is so awesome, even that racing suit
The bud era coincides with the marlboro era to me in f1. Great time in racing man.
One of the best dale jr and dale sr moments ever
Sr. was REALLY proud of Jr. R.I.P. Dale Earnhardt Sr.
