I was born in 85 and started watching in the summer of 96 so even the stuff from 95 is good to get information on, but I feel sorry for you younger guys you missed out on the best era in wrestling.
You guys missed out on some of the best wrestlers in their prime: Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and the Undertaker. You can catch it all on the WWE network though so that’s always good.
Was born in 93, this stage of wrestling was basically my very first exposure to pro wrestling. My teenage years were spent watching ruthless aggression, until it bacame pg. Interest started to die away afterwards and completely vanished around 2012/13. I just can't get my head around the embarrassment that is going on today.
Any time you get Eddie and Benoit together your in for a show. Two of the best in the business but the love they had not just for the game but for each other truly what wrestling should be about
Man from the future here, I believe we have only recently had our first instance of an Eddie vs Chris match that did NOT produce a point for Nitro (it was a pointless draw)
I used to live in L.A. and I remember seeing Rollerblade Guitar Guy every time I was in Venice Beach! I hope he's still there, skatin' and bladin' and being awesome.
Ironically, Jeff Farmer under his nWo Sting gimmick got super-over in NJPW when the company formed the nWo Japan stable with other wrestlers in the group such as The Great Muta, Hiroyoshi Tenzan and Masahiro Chono.
I still own this macho man attire. Got it in 95 Through a magazine order and my mom bought it as an adult large so it would fit me longer. I was the Mach a few Halloween’s ago in this “dark” get up. Classssssic Macho
These are great. I'd love to see you do a several part series documenting the "Downfall of WCW" from it's change from its roots from the Jim Crockett promotions/NWA to Turner buying it out and turning it to WCW to the fall of the company and evental buy out in 2001. You could really go in depth on the guys holding up WCW during heyday and who went down with the ship after it was sold. You could also do one on the fall out between guys like Hogan and WWE during the steroids scandal and his eventual return So many great things you could touch on. Anyway keep up the great work
That dude on rollerblades is from the Santa Monica boardwalk and he was still there in mid 2000s playing same guitar with an amp strapped to him. I worked at a Tower Records and thought he was a crazy homeless person but turns out he’s like a secret millionaire that’s put out his own albums. Dude shreds.
Love your enthusiasm and how you laugh, when you anounced, that it will take many months till we get to Fake Sting. Hope you keep this show and your passion alive for many years.
I remember when Raw used to do those tapings. I went to one, they could be exhausting. Interesting enough eventually you'll reach the one I went to eventually, it's still a while down the line.
I worked on the road and lived in hotels from city to city nothing was better than watching Nitro and then the same weeks Raw and think damn what a time!!! This concept is freakin amazing!!!
Can I float the idea of making the winner of the main event segment the tiebreaker? It definitely was the most important segment back in the day. Great job as always.
I'm loving this series, I watched wrestling from 1990-94 and then again from 97-2002. So there is a gap in my knowledge about the mid-90s (other than the particularly famous incidents) so I'm loving seeing these videos. Good work!
This is a great series. I really hope you do it all the way to the end. Knowing how things turned out for him, it’s pretty hard to watch Renegade get completely torn apart by Jimmy Hart after the match. The guy just did what they’d asked of him, followed along with their stupid plan, then they threw him in the garbage when it blew up in their faces.
Just stopped what I was doing to sit down and watch this. Pure GOLD!! Thank you for doing these. I have told many of my friends so subscribe to your channel. Great job as always!
Ooh wow next weeks episode is gonna be stacked. 95 gets a lot of hate, but the rosters were amazing at this time! just the execution of the product was often poor
Yeah, no good story lines until I feel near the end of 96, so no real need to tune in "next week". I'm trying to catch myself up, I'm in June of '97 lol I started my own Monday night wars in 2018 but took a break last year. These series are a great refresher.
been watching this channel since the start of the wrestler bios almost 2 years ago but the re living the war videos are the best yet keep it up my friend im really enjoying these and thank you so much for the entertainment.
I always forget how many military/cop gimmicks WCW had during the pre-nWo 1990s. Cobra, Sgt. Craig Pittman, Sgt. Buddy Lee Parker (who was portrayed as both a cop and a soldier at different points), even Ray Traylor worked a variation on the Big Boss Man gimmick for awhile before being rebranded as the Guardian Angel and finally bringing back his old Big Bubba character.
15:58 - it's a bag of NFTs that you can actually play with! Ironically, however, pogs are actually worth more (even 1 penny is greater than nothing whatsoever).
Just wait til Austin vs Nwo. Perfect videos. Fair and honest...can't disagree with your views. Pure awesome and thank you for reliving the best era of wrestling
I look forward to these so much. I remember the Wars and using the "last channel" button so much it was wore down. This is awesome for me to be able to see things I honestly just missed.
Love the current weekly format, but I'm really looking forward to about 3 1/2 years in the future when you talk about Jan 4, 1999. The day that killed WCW forever.
After every video you put up about on the Monday night wars, I go back and watch each episode on the network, and I totally agree with your opinion on each one so far, keep up the great work, and I love that your subscribers are going up each video you share
This is cool, when I grew up my mom bought me a Hulk Hogan exercise kit for my birthday, but stopped allowing me to watch wrestling awhile later. It wasn't until I moved in with my dad that he allowed me to watch it. And I missed absolutely everything from 1995-1997.
15:02 I remember this moment vividly. Sting was my favorite in WCW. For some reason, Sting vs Flair is one of the only feuds ever where everything is cannon. They acknowledge every moment they've had together and part of their history. To me, as a child, this was another transition in Sting's character. From bleach blonde, to sorta blonde, to brown hair, to the crow was like a slow burn.
Watching second time through and just thinking about 3 years ago, 5 chinlocks were too many, but if redone now this would be the beginning of the hero Davey Boy and the chinlock legacy. That would have been 1995 match of the year here😂
Thanks wrestling bios for doing this series I'm really enjoying it and think everyone else is also now I get to see what happened on raw back then because I only watched WCW back then
I didn’t have cable growing up so I missed majority of the Monday night wars unless I went to a family members house. This series is great better than the doc WWE did on this
I still have some WWF pogs. They’re the first merchandise from WWF that I owned. I live in a small town so the WWF never had house shows here and when they were near...Yeah. I also got a Diesel poster and Razor Ramons chain.
I really enjoy this series as it hits EVERYTHING instead of the same 7-10 moments EVERYONE else does over and over which is highly boring after the 3rd time
This series is by far better than everything else I've seen about the war...Great job!
For real.
This long term documentary analyzing every single episode head to head is nothing short of brilliant. Absolutely. Brilliant.
Yesss amen to that 🤘
Because it's about wrestling not about any backstage politics
@@Vikdeb25502 true that
The documentary on World War 2 was pretty good mind 😂
Reliving The War is the best thing on YT
Seriously
This channel in general is the best wrestling channel on UA-cam. They've got a lot of other great programs.
Series bro it's awesome memories from the golden era of pro wrestling 👍
obviously you haven’t typed ‘david otunga’ in the search bar then
And it’s only gotten better over time.
Also this is 100x better and more entertaining as WWE or aew. This is the online wrestling i watch currently.
I love learning about the Monday Night War. I wasn't born until 98
i was in High school.
I was born in 85 and started watching in the summer of 96 so even the stuff from 95 is good to get information on, but I feel sorry for you younger guys you missed out on the best era in wrestling.
Same

When I saw Eddie vs Chris, I was like a point for nitro lol.
Benoît vs Eddie on nitro. Henry Godwin vs a jobber on raw.
I was 10 back in 95 and this is truly wrestling history. WWF and WCW, definitely the makings of what is to come in 1996
Hart, Horowitz and Hakushi, the original HHH
Nice!
I used to live in L.A. and I remember seeing Rollerblade Guitar Guy every time I was in Venice Beach! I hope he's still there, skatin' and bladin' and being awesome.
Without sports or any new episodes of shows this has become the weekly thing I look forward to
Ironically, Jeff Farmer under his nWo Sting gimmick got super-over in NJPW when the company formed the nWo Japan stable with other wrestlers in the group such as The Great Muta, Hiroyoshi Tenzan and Masahiro Chono.
Hmmm when you said the white powder is of high quality in the babyface locker room, I assume you're talking about the talcum baby powder? 🤔
yes, it prevents jock itch, those guys looked happy and not chaffed.
Tony Montana's Medicated White Powder
Works Wonders for Wrestlers!
High quality white powder in the babyface locker room? *Simon Whistler has entered the chat*
Reliving these classic episodes of both raw and nitro takes me back and arguably one of the best wrestling channels on UA-cam.
LMFAO BEST LINE EVER "WHITE POWDER WAS DEFINITELY OF GOOD QUALITY " LOL
Especially with the way Jim Duggan slides into frame while he says it.
I still own this macho man attire. Got it in 95 Through a magazine order and my mom bought it as an adult large so it would fit me longer. I was the Mach a few Halloween’s ago in this “dark” get up. Classssssic Macho
When Davey Boy can't go over shawn. Next best thing have Marty do the job
3:03 ... it's crazy how far this series has come.
If you look at 16:05 one of the pogs is lex Luger who is in wcw by this point
Haha poug
At least three of them.
@@yuibucki four
I always love the old school raw theme, brings me back to my young teenage days watching raw
Pogs were awesome back in the day I need to buy some just for childhood memories
This is a very nostalgia filled channel. It's great
My man really said “and it looks like the white powder was top quality in the baby face locker room” 😂😂😂
These are great. I'd love to see you do a several part series documenting the "Downfall of WCW" from it's change from its roots from the Jim Crockett promotions/NWA to Turner buying it out and turning it to WCW to the fall of the company and evental buy out in 2001. Absolutely amazing stuff . Great to watch what happened before i began watching Wrestling in 97/98. Great series. Look forward to every episode.
"Allowing the royal dentist to drill him into the ring post"
I see what you did there
I used to switch back and fourth between shows and sometimes re-watch wcw good times
Ah yes. Vintage RTW, before the devastating power of the chin lock was truly celebrated.
Luger whispering to Sting reminds me of how Nick Fury whispered to Thor and the instant he acknowledged Fury's statement became unworthy of Mjolnir.
I'm pretty sure I saw Thor was once again THE Thor, so did they ever reveal what that was?
@@Krendall2 "Gorr was right."
Seeing a new Wrestling Bios video just makes me happy. I must have watched every one by now
Love your enthusiasm and how you laugh, when you anounced, that it will take many months till we get to Fake Sting. Hope you keep this show and your passion alive for many years.

I was at the same one as you. I'm always with you.......I love you.

3:05 Is this the Genesis?
The True Beginning?
The Tiny Spring that begat the Great Nile?
The First Chinlock?
This is AWESOME to do these kind of videos THANKS Wrestlin Bios im glad U did all of them or almost doin all of them
What a fantastic way to relive the Monday wars! Can not wait to get into 97-99 keep up the great work
Can I float the idea of making the winner of the main event segment the tiebreaker? It definitely was the most important segment back in the day. Great job as always.
Wrestling Bios is the best wrestling channel on UA-cam...Another superb reliving the war
I'm loving this series, I watched wrestling from 1990-94 and then again from 97-2002. So there is a gap in my knowledge about the mid-90s (other than the particularly famous incidents) so I'm loving seeing these videos. Good work!
So I didn’t start watch wrestling until summer of ‘98 and it’s great learning about what happened while I was in 1st grade in ‘95 lol
This is a great series. I really hope you do it all the way to the end.

Looking back through these videos, the war was so worth it at times. Watching these go down live at the time was awesome.

Much obliged my friend on the content. Born in ‘84, takes me right through puberty all over again. But in all seriousness, excellent work. Thank you.
Love this series. Thank you again WB
This is it, the spark to start the fire that leads to an explosion that is the Davey Boy Smith chinlock.
Keep doing what you do! Each episode gives me goosebumps!! Seriously it reminds me of when I entered my teens, plus I love your intro's!!!
Thank you for doing this! This must take forever to do. Thank you for making this so entertaining and for us old guys to relive our youth again.

Watched it at least 5 times before I let play through lol
Also, the comment about the good coke in the babyface locker room. Spot on huh. Music, wrestling, sports, movies, tv. Just isn’t the same anymore!

I lost it when he said the white powder is of high quality in the babyface locker room 😂😂😂😂😂
Love this. Thank you for the work you put in on these videos 🙂
So, Sargent Slaughter was in WWF, and WCW had Cobra. Hmmmmm. 🤔😉😂
Wcw had also the "great" sargent Greg Pittman :)
