  • The area covered is from the city of Boppard to the famous Lorelei Rock. The cruise is leisurely and relaxing and the sun has finally come out & it has gotten a bit warmer. Parts 3 and 4 to follow.
The song you hear is "Digital Solitude" by Silent Partner and is from the free You Tube Music Library.
As is customary, Ed does the video filming & narration. I do the still photos, add the music and edit it all to upload here. Hope you'll check out the other video parts as well.

+Debbie Palmer Thanks, again, Debbie. I think you might find that part 3 and 4 coming up, will have the most stunning images of all (in my humble opinion). But, there are no bad views on a Upper Middle Rhine Cruise....LOL, especially the Rhine Gorge area.

A lot of castles. I would love to live in Sankt Goar. I can imagine what it would be like to live there.

+CoolPixx23 We did return on another day to visit it and it was very charming. We took the train from Koblenz to get there much faster. The cruise is wonderful and leisurely but it takes almost 6 hours to do it, going in one direction. We took the train back to Koblenz at our last stop (Rudesheim) and it took only about 1.5 hours to get back to our hotel.

***** What a cool vacation you had Wedigo. in 6 hours you got to see a lot that you would have missed by train.

+CoolPixx23 Yes it is hard to see both sides of the river from a train - it often is too close to a hill to be able to look up and see a castle on the hill above you, so you can only see the castles on the hill on the opposite of the river. You miss a lot this way.

+CoolPixx23 I will let Ed know. By the way, if you have enjoyed parts 1 and 2, I think you'll find parts 3 and 4 even more enjoyable (in my humble opinion). Thanks for all of your appreciative comments, Ivan.
