This video explores various liberal, socialist, leftist, neoliberal, conservative, anarchist, and communist, ideas and discussions around homelessness, housing, private property, and ownership of houses and land.
This video is not meant to be prescriptive. Instead, I would love for you to consider your own ideas surrounding this topic, and why you might value one concept or approach over another. Think about why you might consider the idea of owning land you don't live on, or housing you don't live, perfectly natural? Where did this idea come from? Do you think humans have always considered this a normal part of society? Why or why not?
This video is intended to be a discussion point.
What I do believe is that it is a perfectly attainable goal to house all members of our communities. And I think there would be many ways to go about that successfully.
I'd love to hear your thoughts!
I'm Bode (they/them), thanks for watching!

The humor, the sources, the rhetorically brilliant and evidence backed arguments, the consideration and empathy for different perspectives, I knew that not subbing was not an option. Have my sub, my like, and the sincere wish that I could give more of both.
Also I love the costume designs so much; The makeup is great and the outfits are really well done! Now I have to go and show this to my brother!

Hell yeah! There is no housing crisis! I learned a lot. The distinction between personal and private property is important and a good way to leverage for houseless rights.

Yeah! Well, there is a housing crisis, but it’s not a matter of “oh there aren’t enough houses that’s so sad let’s build some more.” The housing crisis is manufactured, it’s by human design, it’s a moral, political, and ethical crisis rather than a resource scarcity. It’s a political decision.

This is an interesting Socratic dialogue and a great walkthrough of the arguments on this topic! I especially liked that it didn't end with one side "winning" over the other.

To answer your question, no you can't, for one I don't have one, secondly it's too big, third, where would you keep it? Inside of your house?
If it's the third can I live in your house if I build my own smaller house inside of it? Because I like both recursion and sleeping indoors. I'll even mow the carpet once a week.

I so love this. It just keeps getting better. Thanks for putting the hard fucking facts out here for people who might not have a clue about how bad this side of things are. Sadly, many just do not realize how much of a direct correlation there is between displaced families and the sick issues of capitalism. It SEEMS like an obvious conclusion to draw, but that's not necessarily the case, particularly for folks who have never experienced anything close to this kind of fear and despair. This shit is SO SERIOUS! Thank you, thank you, thank you. Again.
