Wow. You have no idea what its like to live in abuse like that. I thought about the same thing. My father was supported by my brother and mother. I couldn't get out of it until I was able to move out. Age 3-20 of abuse. He finally died of old age and hurt several children in his 70 years. So yeah I could have saved other kids if I had followed the Mendez brothers. Walk a second in their shoes before you judge them.
Netflix made a movie and now suddenly this is important again. Netflix should make a movie about all the nonviolent drug offenders in prison. But that one doesn't capture the imagination like this.
