Everyone! Listen to Gentry because I have never heard such good advice on how to do this trick. All yoyoers know some of the details that Gentry has revealed but I think he is the first who showed them. Must watch this video and you need to hit 'like' and 'subscribe'
Thank you bro! I think you are the only one who explained it nicely and you helped me a lot. Because of videos like this I will continue to yoyoing with enjoyment.
Yo! Gentry, I wrote you in lifechat, do you remember me? I wrote late, and didn't see your answer. So may I ask you a question again? You said, that you ship yoyo in the most countries. Did the "list of countries" Include Russian Federation? (If I wrote something wrong and you don't recognize me, I try to explain you, because I'm simply learning English. And yoyoing helps me with it. Watching your videos and other people, who name related with yoyo, I'm really trying to recognize what you speak about. And if 5 months ago I recognized a little, now I understand around 95% percents. Thank you, Gentry Stein, for opportunity to learn how to yoyo, learn language and the yoyo's culture. I really glad, that I told to you in the lifechat. Be healthy and Good luck! )

I gotta say, like when you're so experienced with something. It's not always easy to make a "clear" tutorial about the basic stuff. Your tutorials on these foundation tricks actually include a lot of details that experienced players like your self do without even think. They've just become second nature. So for you to list a lot of small details that might occur to some people is actually really nice, because you never really know what some people might be doing wrong. I'm an intermediate Yo-Yo player and even tho I know these tricks. I'm actually learning for example about "why" I do certain things that I did unconsciously. So thanks for the videos man! Keep it up! (Also just a side note. It's actually fun watching you man! xD)
You nailed it; I would classify myself as high beginner/low intermediate and started by watching a lot of yoyoexpert and yoyo tricks. I have managed to do a lot but going back through theses with Gentry he breaks down the details that makes things make sense. The understanding of the fundamentals vs. just "do this" is making me pick up things much faster now.
I just wanted to sincerely thank you for these tutorials. I was pretty decent with my responsive Raider yo-yo in my early teens. Don’t think they even had unresponsive back then. My 4yo daughter has been asking me for a yo-yo. Finally decided to get one for her and decided to try and unresponsive for myself, so I could learn some cooler string tricks and impress her. Found your channel and now we watch together. Just ordered your shutter trainer set for myself to upgrade the cheap, wobbly plastic one I got to start with. Can’t wait for it to arrive, and move on to the more difficult split bottom mount tricks. Thank you for from the bottom of my heart providing my little girl and I with something we can do together that’s NOT another touch screen technology. When there’s not enough wind to take her kite flying, we can practice our throws together! 😊👏🏼
Years and years of radio silence on youtube about yoyoing. I thought id never find anything about yoyoing that was modern, and I was scared to start because of that. Now, here you are making videos like these. Amazing, phenomenal, thank you lol
Keep it up my guy! I remember learning this trick from 360p videos on other websites when I was ten years old and it definitely felt like a big step up.
That's the first trick I learned when I was a kid. Had a yomega set that came with a VHS. Man the memories, I found out real quick yomega yo yo's will break your fingers lol.
It's a class-act that can not only be a master of his craft, but also take the time to teach us lowly muggles. Thank you, Sensei! You're the Yoyo Yoda! (Yoyoda?) 😄
I’m almost 50 and played yo yo in the 80’s. Trapeze is hard. This is my first vid that I’ve watched after getting the hang of bind. Lol perhaps I should have started at ep 1.
That was very nice of you. Looks like the dude could have took it out of his busy schedule to tell you thanks. It's just a joke everyone. so don't get butt hurt
I wish I found this video sooner. I’m following the YoYoTricks app, it’s great, but he says to plant ur finger and not move it. I noticed he actually slides his finger. I started doing it and now I’m consistent almost every time. Then I find your video a half hour later. I could’ve used that tip about a week ago. Great job dude. I’m actually using a replay pro too.
Hello sir! I totally need this tutorial!!! Purchased the Shutter and Replay Pro combo as a gift to myself for my birthday last 29th and just waiting for them to arrive 😁 I've been on the YoyoTricks app and so far I can land the trapeze but they're always not perfect. I don't know why they teach the part where if you miss, you can just push the yoyo back up the string. I guess that works if you want to do the next trick with it? But it's totally not the point of doing the "trapeze" per se as it defeats the purpose of learning to hit it in the first place and being consistent. Not necessarily bad on their part, I've watched a ton of great tutorials on there, but just have caveat for that specific tutorial. It's not one over the other but I liked your teaching on this a little better. Thank you! 😁
I’ve been practicing this one for about a week or two now. I’ve had improvement but still struggling. Combination of a Reddit post and more video tutorials than I can imagine. The biggest improvement I found was the relaxed shoulder and finger pointing inwards. If anyone else is struggling I’ve found doing a finger gun and hold your finger gun like James Bond when he’s secretly going to shoot someone under a table
Looks so easy. Nicely done When I try this trick with my responsive yoyo, the yoyo simply returns back to my throwing hand rapidly without ever getting to the trapeze position. What am I doing wrong I wonder?
Wish more people did unresponsive specific trapeze tutorials I can't get it, also I with someone had a trick list easy to hard after you learn the basic bind like trapeze and in between tricks it would show you different bonds
Too much friction probably. Like he said you gotta make sure it's going straight instead of being at an angle. But above everything keep practicing like the man said xD
Jow Gentry, I want to buy a yoyo, but if i buy one from you I have to pay big time for shipping, so do you have any recommendations for an European yoyo, ideally max €20

Very thorough,I appreciate you breaking the trick down into simpler parts.
thank you so much for making this video simple. every other video I saw was way to hard to follow so thanks.
Thank you bro! I think you are the only one who explained it nicely and you helped me a lot. Because of videos like this I will continue to yoyoing with enjoyment.

Epicness 😅 I’m trying to learn too. I recommend learning breakaway first.
@@mintymango3717 lol even breakaway is difficult. It's spins off centre even though it feels im releasing it straight!
i am waiting in suspense for this to premiere
I still find it funny how I started yoyoing on the day of the first episode
You are the chosen one
Lol
Thank you for such a comprehensive tutorial...trapeze is indeed very hard...
@Hi Hi i finally did master the trapeze and double or nothing...a lot of practice though...gentry's tutorials have been of tremendous help
I like the way you teach. Even though there are many tutorials of these online, you seem to put your own *spin* on it.
Mark Cena Hey, don’t string us along with these puns

Hi Gentry. My titanium shutter hit the floor and got black on the edges but doesn't have a bump. What happened to it? Will this affect playability?

Looks so easy. Nicely done When I try this trick with my responsive yoyo, the yoyo simply returns back to my throwing hand rapidly without ever getting to the trapeze position. What am I doing wrong I wonder?
Is trapeze doable on unresponsive yoyo?
Is Bind similiar to this??
Are you using the ONE yoyo for your videos? Im thinking of purchasing
Wish more people did unresponsive specific trapeze tutorials I can't get it, also I with someone had a trick list easy to hard after you learn the basic bind like trapeze and in between tricks it would show you different bonds
Are my arms suppose to cross while doing this???
Hi, i have a problem when I try that, my yoyo starts to rotate to another direction, how can I get rid of that, i loosing hope and getting triggered.
How would I bind after the trapeze because I’m using a unresponsive yo-yo and it seems like I can’t find the answer anywhere
Check out my video about binding!
Please help me I can do the trick but I am facing the problem of yoyo not landing straight please help.
I cant wait 1 minute still left
My issue is when I use the responsive yoyo, when it lands it will jerk like its being tugged and bump back into my finger
Been trying this trick for a few hours and im landing the yoyo on the string but when it lands it stops spinning what am i doing wrong
Just keep practicing. :)
Too much friction probably. Like he said you gotta make sure it's going straight instead of being at an angle. But above everything keep practicing like the man said xD
