i have banded hundreds of calfs but never seen a unit like that, only one i have ever seen it the one i use wtch is just a rubber band small little ring like a cheereo an little pliers, but you have to band before they get to 200Lbs, never seen yours in the fed stores or vet supply, i de-horn all my calves at 10 weeks old, using this de-horning cream, you shave the hair around the horn bud and coat t with the cream, horns never grow, last fall i picked up 6 calves late in fall and being really cold weather was coming soon i left there horns to grow, as i know it be to much with cold weather coming fast, so no big deal 6 with horns is fine, not the first time
Jed Hergenrider thank you it’s not as handy as our other barn where you can put 15 in the alleyway leading to the chute but this little set up does work them pretty quietly just not as fast, IF I have help that is. Thanks for watching and the comment.
Slow and steady wins the race and generally has lees stress and accidents. Nice setup. Thanks for the video!

I think you cut those horns way to close. If they bleed it hurt and they can get infection.
No animals were harmed in the making of this film...pssh
I'd suggest some Greg Judy videos to this guy but I'd probably be wasting my breath
My Uncle knew how to cut them with a pocket knife without bleeding.
Craig Wood score the horn snap it off?
Need a new squeeze chute and head catch. Priefert
Do you have a lot of experience with priefert squeeze chutes?
Like it
