Just had the drywall installed and the gap between the treads/risers and the drywall ranges from 1/8" to 1". What size board do you typically use for the skirt board and what do you do it the gap isn't large enough to lay the skirt board in??

Sometimes you need to scribe skirt boards to the tread. I will try a video on that
What size skirt board are you using here? It looks like 1"x10". I like the way this turned out.
Yes it’s a half inch think but yes they are 9 1/4 width wose
