Instead of the raptor, I would use the microraptor. Most people coming into raid are going to use larger dinos the standard raptor wont be able to reach the rider less there on a soaker like a stego or trike. But a micro raptor is small hard to hit, can FLY, and stun players off all mounts even flyers. They are often the very first tame I pick up to have on my shoulder and to have follow along as if a player tries to attack or pick me with a flyer I just go yeet and there the ones knocked off and harassed by a bunch of little hard to hit ankle bitters. I say my best start on a pvp server was taming up three of these on rag right off and having someone on a petra trying to pick me as I ran. I yeeted one of my new friends up at him, it stunned, knocked him from his flyer, allowing me to bola and club the guy until he was out and steal all his gear. Inside a base, maybe. I made a maze type base before, throwing Troodons all around the base. Ppl tried to raid, got killed by a few, killed them eventually, probably thought that was all of them, continued raiding, released more Troodons, died. They gave up mid raid. But out in the open, not so good. One heavy hitting dino can kill them all quickly.

Of course our beloved paracer didn’t make it even though it’s one of the best as it can easily take out fobs, stopping the enemy from approaching further and they can be used to push back enemy’s at your gates. I like to used a army of microraptors with leveled health to protect.
I usually play solo more often then not. If I'm doing pvp I will put alot of Pegos and Dilos in the room with my vaults all on aggressive. Don't always work but it is annoying to small raid parties and have ran a few off before. If room is big enough I have even put a few Raptors in there too. I like trying to set traps to kinda troll raiders a bit. Lol
Purlovia are the truth! Strategically placed they will wreck trolls!
arthropluera would be useful for the armor damage
I agree. Also has turret mode lol
Orihon Plays killed super easily
I cannot imagine what havoc the ovis or dodo would do.
Noone can defeat the mighty ovis and the biggest dino, dodo
I was like da flip you didn't include them
I have a level 270 Rock Elemental blocking my cave entrance with 20k health and max saddle lol. Ive named it "Bouncer"
I like the Kentro's for defence, i had one Kentro on the Island that wrecked an alpha raptor that tried to attack my base. Ah i miss that dino!
Just curious if you would substitute your raptors these days with deinonychus?
I have so much dodos at one little.spot in my base that when i get raided i just let them loose and the whole server crashes
You want the perfect defensive base? The answer is simple...
*_giga squad_*
Lesley Galvin just use turret walls
Giga squad can be taken out easily
Vultures r fkin op for base défense, guys on wyverns and pt killed me today at no turret base and I thought it was over, but the vultures killed em all ez pz
Nice vid lol. Love the names. Great list.
How do you deal with people who stay from far ranged to snipe your Dino’s?
MidName but snipers can hit out of range of those
MidName we talking about the Dino’s on defense here, hello?
MidName yeah I realized that the only way to be safe is to actually be there when you’re under attack :/
@@Thongn246 move to a cave lol
build a wall and have turrets
Imagine having 20 purlovias around ur base on aggresive and someone tries to flak run basee WAIT HOLY SHIT I JUST CAME UP WITH A NEW WAY TO STOP FLAK RUNNING IN CAVES HAVING A BUNCH OF FUCKING PURLOVIAS OOOO MY IDEA PLEASE FEATURE IT ON THIS CHANNEO
Bro the Velo, my tribe has like 10, and we were testing our defense, so I got kicked from the tribe to test it out, and the velo would shoot sometimes and sometimes I would just walk by them, Behavior, Aggresive and Turret mode, what's the problem??
Possibly change their targeting range so they lock on more consistently. If they are on default aka medium range then it may be possible with enough movement speed to zip passed em. Higher range they target earlier. Only thing o can think of to make it more consistent
Velos are very easy to kill from outside their targeting range with flame arrows. I would put the rock elemental in the #1 position for base defense
U can easily Dodge rock elementals if ur on foot but a velo will destroy u on foot, I still get what ur saying
What about the thorny dragon they can shoot thorns I use thorny dragons and they work
I just started playing so I don’t know but is it okay to enable wandering around? Will they stay in a certain amount or wander out of my field?
If u lucky cuz if u not they can go in the other side of the map
How was your first year of ark
I use a velonasaur turret and two parasaurs and I keep spare dinos in cyropods just in case they kill my creatures
If the enemy raids you and take your cryopod then they can claim your Dinos and use them
@@aliataya1089 or u have them uploaded like an inteligent human?
@@antraxosazrael8480 you lose them after 24 hours and I’m too lazy to remember not forgetting them also I consider that “cheating” because you could essentially never lose your Dinos
I don't agree with anything other then the golem, giga, and velonosaur if you get attack You rush the fob and that's how you defend against the raid you don't keep them at Bay its a base with like 8 turrets vs your base with like fkin 100+heavies you should treat it like you are raiding them
Edit: Parasaur is good to have too actually
Khalil Carney what is a fob?
@@worldofkyle6497 forward active base
Base so when you are pushing up it is harder for them to push back
@@khalilcarney4156 forward operating base
@@eawykeham3900 oh yeah XD idk why I thought it was active
Basilisk spamming also works
I keep several max lvl scorpions and troodons in my base. Break a layer and met with a deadly force inside
what is this tool that you use to limit the range where they go what a level needed for it?
Dino leash
This was a really good video!
Nice, I love your videos man keep up the good work
I don’t know how but when I had started out I was being raided and a wild therizinosaur and a wild baryonyx started attacking I only had two friends and a perry the parasaur and no roof and perry scared off the Bary and the theri when he detected them cuz we were in a forest
(west zone 1)
And the raiders were hiding tha booshes (bushes) and our perry help us find them and exterminate them
Parasaur such an underrated dino, weight, health and Stam as well as the detect
I was literally afk for 5 minutes and when I got back my base got raided
why when someone goes near my base my dinos dont attack
Maybe because your dinos are set to passive or neutral, if you want dinos to attack anything in the area put them on aggressive but if you want them to attack if they are attacked put them on neutral and if you dont want them to attack put them on passive
Is there a way to be able to predict where they will show up. I've been trying to catch a purlovia since I started Ark, but I always keep getting ambushed and accidentally killing them. Is there anything anyone can tell about stopping this boomerang fuck up?!!
Go watch phlinger phoo ark abc’s and you’ll learn a lot about Dinos and purlovias
Cj, wyverns have a turret mode and are op
And if you're base is underwater electrophores
Just bring in a basilosaur or tuso
If tuso they are dead in seconds
I always bring raptors when raiding but then again I only raid players who attack first
Do you know why my raptors don't get the pack buff? I have 10 raptors next to each other
Its bugged with tamed Raptors right now
On a pve server on mobile me and my friend spent 2+ hours taming Dino’s and then some asshole named nexus nunchucks angered 2 bronto’s that hit my dinos and killed all except our stego and anklo. Then he dropped a bunch of junk everywhere and then came back with a bro to and murdered the ankylo. We spent 1 hour taming him and only spent 10 minutes with the ankylo. Someone please help me.
I use velonasaurs, parasaurs, rexes, Thylacoleos, yutyrannusses, and basilisks
What map is that? and are you using some kind of texture pack, because your ark looks so much different?
It's the map called The Center
Vultures make excellent base dinos. Easy to catch... Strong in groups... And surprise! They hit the rider not the tame.
I used dodo to protect my base from trike and giga from starting I bred them and made them very big so I kept them at agro i got lvl 435 dodos
I can’t even imagine a Kentro on a boosted😳
How did you get that parasaur
🧐🧐🧐
i wonder
You forgot reapers they should be #2 at least
Not really cuz you can get them far away from the base then make then fall off a cliff
What about the piss head dino ? You know ? The one you have to passive tame with beer ? They have a turret mode and I am thinking of taming a couple to defend my base
Chalicotherium?
@@tk11rj that's the one
Wow...not even love for arthro or dimo/vulture (6 pack)? They shred armor regardless if the player is on a mount or not.
Im watching this because im getting raided now
Having those on official servers are hard
How?
@@retardrdcompany I always end up being raided, I've only been at the game for like 2 months though
