Great stuff! 16mm works surprisingly well for portraits as long as one keeps the subject’s face towards the centre of the frame. But it can also stretch the legs to look really long. I’m on a6100 and Sigma 16+56.
@@kristiangurholt59 I have the lens hood on most of the time, but in this video backlight, the light direction is directly into the lens, the lens hood won't act any blocking functions.
You've given me more confidence to use my 16mm on portrait. They turned out better than I thought! I've always restricted that Prime lens to landscape photography.
Amazing JPGs! What settings did you use outside the diner? Those greens and browns look so perfectly desaturated(?)! Classic chrome with some white balance adjustments?
Thanks for replying! I thought maybe you had fiddled with the R and B white balance settings? I'd really like to get my colours to look the way yours do. I'll try out a few things :) Thanks again.
my friend, you forgot the spoken intro this time! : ) The footage is absolutely solid but i really can't stand using zoom lenses. I recently bought a X100F and i'm finding really hard times forcing me using the XT2. Anyway, cheers from Italy!
One of my favourite of yours so far, I really liked that you shot the video too with x-t2, you did an astonishing job.
Thanks so much

Thank you 😊
@@caliallstaring Btw, do you typically use a lens hood when shooting backlit like in this video?

Natalie is one of my favorite models you use Xing :)

Thank you so much 😄🙌☀️
I hope you could use third party lens in your videos too. I would love to see Viltrox glasses.
If you search “xing Fujifilm Viltrox”, I have one video on that :)
Superb photographer The model is cute.💥⚘😍

Can you give me all soundtracks name of this clip, thank!

hallo, its beautiful ....what is film simulation in this video?
Classic chrome
Hi Xing, did you notice any purple pattern shooting with the sun behind?? Thanks!!
I don’t notice any purple pattern for my X-T2
Do you usually have your camera on a certain mode (aperture priority, etc.)?
Yes, aperture priority. Here is a video on my setting: ua-cam.com/video/NFnx7P3wNNo/v-deo.html
What should i get as my first lence?
Amish Abbasi if portraits, 56mm F1.2, if general, 23mm F1.4
@@caliallstaring i would really love all in one type of lense beacuse i can only offord one for now ? Or should i get the kit 18-55?

Good job but I don’t like the compression of a 16mm for portraits. Makes the model look weird. It is just the lens, you are doing great.
Thanks for watching:)
Hi, do you prefer the 35mm f1.4 over the f2? TIA!
Yes, 1.4 I prefer
Xing Liu thank you!
curious, what were your video settings?
I use iPhone 7 Plus with a handle to record the video
This is the handle I use: amzn.to/2N9mdIm
All natural light?
Yes, all natural light
35f1.4 vs 35f2 .What is better ??
nuchit I like the 35mm F1.4 better, one extra stop for low light
Thx you so much
Like the zeiss results more
C O thanks :) you mean the Zeiss 35mm in my other videos?
@@caliallstaring yes with sony same model
