Celtics fan ...but...Magic ...the best PG I have ever hated. This team has more skill and humility in playing. No crazy 3's but ball movement to find the best shot and maximizing the skills of each player. Basketball poetry. I would not have liked to lose to these guys as they don't appear to even be at 80% intensity.
Prior to this Olympic game, some folks voiced concerns about whether or not these living legends would mesh well, due to them normally being on rival teams. As we can see, professionals perform as if they had been on the same team for years. Note that they are not playing against scrubs. If that opposing team were to play against any non pro team, they would win with relative ease. But up against America's best, they were made to look like amateurs. The level of skill on the American team is hard to grasp. I wish better quality recordings had survived.
Man....I can't watch enough of these two. Magic & Bird were just different animals!!! There games were so similar. The 80's is when basketball was so much fun to watch. Now it is unwatchable. The games are in the 140's and there is no defense. Just awful!
