Rewatching and just caught the bit from ABK's "Every Episode of Popular Time Travel Show" this time around. Considering my brain was already blaring "It's us again! It's us again!" when you broached the topic, I was quite happy to see it.
I have initial scripts for all of 6's companions, am working on a 5 script (Peri and Erimem) and one of my next jobs will be to relisten to the Constance and Flip stories to finalise my script for them. So, more is coming!
Regarding The Rani rights (good name for a future story), it seems (and this might be hearsay, I'm not sure) that after the Bakers died nobody quite knows who owns the character. As such, everyone's afraid to use her in case they get sued.
I can not vouch for 2029 but in 2024 there are large swaths of Americans who would not believe you if you told them Norsemen arrived in America 500 years before Columbus. One of my personal pet peeves is the number of movies and tv shows from the 40’s thru 70’s that stated historical facts as if the audience was assumed to of know them. While to day 10’s of millions of Americans complain about woke historical revisionism when told things there grandparents we’re taught in school. I, a historical trivia nut, have spent the last 49 years living an hour from Plymouth Rock. I have been to Plymouth Plantation twice. I found out a few years ago that the Native American who came out of the forest to help the pilgrims knew how to speak English because of the 9 years he spent living in London. An I can tell you for a fact that 1st graders in 1974 knew that. In short do not underestimate the ignorance of my fellow American country men.
I heard that there's now nontroversy about a new Alexander the Great documentary, flakes decrying it as "woke" because it mentions some of his same-sex relationships... 🙄
I think Order of the Daleks does stand out because it’s a Big Finish Dalek story which isn’t a time war tale, and like you said some nice Dalek “body” horror
hear me out.... 13: "tag your it" *regenerates* 14: "oh, this hair, and these clothes, and- oi who's do i sound like?" the 14th doctor is catherine tate and the toymaker makes the doctordonna cause "donna" to be david tennant............
4:25 oh Constance is NOTHING So because Tom Baker is...really old (or an actual time Lord, pick whichever), Big Finish recorded several years worth of box sets in advance, including with new audio original companions... There have been 2 times now that those companions appeared elsewhere before their debut. First is Margaret Hopwood, artist who was meant to debut in Ravencliff Witch...except she also appeared in the 8th doctor story "companion piece", since villain of the story was stealing companions out of Doctor's timeline. So similar case to Constance... ...especially compared to mess with Naomi Cross. Naomi Cross and Harry Sullivan (yes, that one) will join the 4th Doctor as a TARDIS team this year...when we have already seen the aftermath of them leaving the Doctor in UNIT Nemesis boxsets thst started in 2022 and now rejoined the Doctor back while he is 7's Doctor already!
My understanding re: the rights to the Rani is that both Pip and Jane Baker, her creators, died. Apparently nobody knows who the rights belong to. Or at the very least, Nicholas Briggs has run into complications trying to get in touch with their estate. Of course, this is me going off memory from something he said in the Big Finish Podcast back in 2021. It's a shame, really. The Rani has great potential is a villain. Hopefully they'll eventually figure things out.
Just wait til I talk at length about the Hebe Harrison arc, ooh boy. BF have never sent me a review copy of anything and I expect they'll raise the prices after that video, just to spite me.
45:22 anyone else hearing Daffy Duck? I was just looking at a picture of daffy duck while listening to this and it fits (about as well as a fair number of post Mel Blanc daffys)
At last our Empress has returned the world of big Finish!!! ❤❤❤

Nice to see more forgotten 90's kids shows getting a nod in your videos. ;)

@DiamandaHagan you're the best, that video about evelyn was marvelous 👏

They should form a coalition where someone takes one for the team and gets their legal costs covered.
That's why public domain is so important. There sre many such stories

Oh man, I heard the music and got all excited for the Dance of Exposition
I SO want to see your review of THE ASYLUM!
I've been seeing this question pop up a lot online. "If you could re-cast any companion as the Doctor, who would it be?"
Miranda Raison is my pick
She'd be solid but the obvious answer is Frazer Hines as 2 :)
@@DiamandaHagan I think the question implies as their own Doctor. But I see what you did there
I'd go with Caroline Morris. Really enjoyed her performance as Erimem.
hear me out....

Very good 👍 😊
Ooh, I don't know much about this one at all. The train story sounds familiar.

45:22 anyone else hearing Daffy Duck? I was just looking at a picture of daffy duck while listening to this and it fits (about as well as a fair number of post Mel Blanc daffys)
Post Blanc Daffys should start a band together
