It’s still a POS ricer, interior is about 10 YEARS BEHIND other luxury cars and the performance subpar MASSIVE waste of $$$ Infiniti’s are ripping people off with outdated technology outdated interiors and subpar performance compared to all of their competitors. It’s almost criminal.

I think a new Z will come with this 400HP engine with a stick shift option in 2022 or so.
God the q60 is a drop dead gorgeous car, and with a manual its is now a dream car of mine! And im a lexus fanatic!
DIAMLER same. If only they could fix their infotainment, the dual stack screens are cool but the graphics are so old.
I cant get over the front it looks like a shark with a big ass forehead 🤣 but the rear is nice. No more circle taillights that's definitely the end of an era for the Skylines
@@jimmypena2442 There are modules that are sold on the Facebook Q50/Q60 pages that adds android auto and apple carplay to the top screen. Even ones that add a full Android tablet experience paired with those two. I have one of these, it's great.

I’m pretty sure there is a manual swap for every car it’s just about are you willing to pay for that amount of work and for probably the months your car will be out of service.

When I worked at Infiniti this dude with a 2014 or 2015 blue q50 manual swapped would come in. It was vq37 so it was easier for him

You guys could make a fortune if you put together a parts list, template cut set, and produce some of the custom parts for a manual swap kit for the Q60/Q50’s. I’m on the fence between a Q50 and a IS 350. So if I get the Q50 I’ll DEFINITELY be interested.

This is a dream setup for a Q60
ABC Garage it sounds horrible, Infiniti are selling them because late in the g37, to q60 they sat on dealer lots. You stupid manual lovers complain “oh save the manuals, but don’t buy them.” The truth is manual sit on lots . Also the q60 transmission is designed to be smooth, not fast. It has nothing to do with INFINITI to be cheap. You guys forget not everyone is trying to be merc or Alfa Romeo. Infiniti has a goal of what they want their cars to be a certain customer and they obtain it I think. The only problem I see if they are not updating and coming out with cars soon enough.

So far I have it runing and driving
I have a few more kinks to work out but I got the limp mode off and it’s been decent so far

By far the best I seen. I been looking for any answers on the Q50S and you guys just gave it to me. What was the total cost for the retrofit and if you guys have a kit patten on this that I can buy to retrofit my self or my mechanic??
Honestly, I hope Nissan/Infiniti seriously contemplates putting a manual in the car after seeing this video! Just looking at the fit and finish, your team has already put the effort in developing and testing the new transmission, so I think this would be viable for them to just take your design and mass produce it. Unfrontunately, the $10,000 dollar question is, would be buy it if they made it?
Nissan/Infiniti's CEO (or whoever TF was in charge of the decision) is a douche for not making these cars in manual.
How? Let's be honest, a manual Q50/Q60 wouldn't sell enough to make it worth Infiniti/Nissan's time.
It's down to the customer, that's why so many cars are dropping the manual, it just isn't selling as much as it used to.
Also, most of these car companies are here to make money, so it's more than understandable why they did what they did.

The engineers begged and begged upper management to keep the manual in the car too. Alas it was not to be.
It is wonderful Nissan continued with the 6MT in the new Z. A shame there can't be a new Q60 with manual with the LSD, i'd totally want one. Beautiful car.

I have the 7 speed. I feel like it could shift faster than it does from the factory. I've noticed that it shifts faster if you're heavy on throttle and shift at say 4k rpm vs it shifting on it's own at redline. Not not sure why it does that. But it's very noticeable.
Everyone so hellbent on swapping a Maxima, til now I haven't seen anyone try it with it's superiors!
