    I feel like Rea would approved of Hades and Persephone, at least their marriage is more better then her’s and Zeus’s and Hera(with the whole sleeping around and eating babies thing).
    Though there was the kidnapping thing but still. Lol

      Fun fact: in older versions of the Hades and Persephone myth, she goes with Hades willingly to the underworld.

    • @JuanRodriguez-ox6is
      @JuanRodriguez-ox6is 5 років тому +22

      Possibly not considering Rhea knows what it's like to have your child taken away from you by force. Neither her nor Demter were very happy with that and considering she helped Leto give birth despite Hera forbidding it all we can assume she doesn't care what her children think(Zeus and Hades' being the ones who agreed to this in this situation) if she doesn't find it right personally.

      It wasn't really a kidnapping since that implies he did it without anyone else knowing. He went to Zeus(who was Persephone's father) and got his permission, then he showed up to take her as part of the courtship(that was how it worked in ancient Greece). They just forgot to tell Demeter about it.

    She really is a somewhat unique character in Greek Myth: A character with NO negative stories and only positive ones. It seems she is respected as the reason the Olympians exist at all, yet she doesn't feature in stories beyond that, happily fading into the shadows. So it's interesting that she still shows up once in a while- almost like fans asked "hey, what happened to Rhea?" and storytellers were like "oh, um, she helped out Leto this one time".

    I really like how even the Olympians had respect for Rhea, because if she had obeyed her husband they all wouldn't exist. Even ZUES understood this. I also think she would have approved of Hades and Persephone (then known as Kore before her marriage to her husband) since Hades treats Persophone with love and respect, their relationship was a healthy and functioning one. No affairs (I'm pretty sure) and Persephone actually enjoyed being with her husband.

    Sad Reya is always minimized in who she was and how she saved her children she risked her life and not so much as a thank you mom or giving her the respect I think she more than earned, in a high throne seat, instead forgotten like she was nothing, it's sad and this is they're loving mother who'd of died for these kids that were gods but she's now nothing. Maybe she should of let Cronus swallow Zeus, less troubles.

      well, my problem is that the characters are not characterized by their actions, but rather from how much of a poor little unique snowflake they are, and keep telling you that all the damn time. Except Hearthstone And Blitzen, they were somewhat enjoyable. But the Loki sisters... well... Sam was a downright religious zealot who can't understand how much her zealotry could harm the mission, while Alex could have been at least a bit more polite (or at least learn to be) about his condition, without bitching at everyone who happened to get his gender wrong. Magus might be an atheist (which is weird, as the literal gods walk the Earth) but big G up there must have a seat for him prepared for how pious he is.

      the point is, that at the beginning I could justify their somewhat obnoxious behaviour, but after three books they stay the same, Alex being impolite with his friends and Samirah being, at times, a bit too much obsessive on how much she believes in God. What bothers me the most is that they don't change, Samirah's faith has no weight on her story, nor does Alex's nature, unlike many other characters who change and develop, most of the cast of the norse books stays the same. Which is... Boring and unsatifying in my opinion.

      @@omarsongaming3255 Nothing. It's a great series. The problem is some people take it as a primary source of Greek mythology(being their only one because they assume its enough) and basing all interactions or mentions of Greek mytholgy on the books. God of War fans are the same. So it's great as an introduction to Greek myths but some people need to realize it's not very accurate sometimes and is essentially an author's version of Greek myths.

    what it is with Rhea though that Crunos chose her as her wife and not the other of her sister????

  • @AishaVonFossen
    @AishaVonFossen 4 роки тому +1

    I have heard that the reason Rhea is depicted with lions is because these lions are actually Atalanta and her husband Hippomenes. They were turned into lions by Zeus because he caught them banging in one of his temples. ROFL!!! :P And then Rhea just kinda took them in or something, and now they're her faithful companions. :) Though why she doesn't just turn them back like Poseidon turned back Nerites is beyond me. Rhea original name is RASSA/REASA/REYA and her name means in slavic language:Rasti-to grow and from her name Rassa the word Race (human race) originates. REJA/Reya/Rhea is a copy of Serbian-Slavic pagan goddess Reja(Reya) whose husband was Serbian-Slavic god KRAT (Hellenic copy paste is Krat-us/Chronos). Reja & Krat had a son Serbian-Slavic pagan god DIV (Hellenic copy paste is Div-us/Tsivus/Tzeus/Zeus). Reya's father was Serbian-Slavic pagan god Varun (Hellenic copy paste is Uranus) and her mother was Serbian-Slavic pagan goddess Gaja (Gaya) (Hellenic copy paste is Gea/Gaia). Reja's & Varun's daughter was Serbian-Slavic pagan goddess Devana and their son DIV (Hellenic copy paste Divus/Tsivus/Tzeus/Zeus) who married Serbian-Slavic goddess KORA/KORANA (Hellenic copy is Hera).
    Reja's husband Krat was also her half-brother as Reja's parents were goddess Gaja (Gea/Gaia) & god Varun (Uranus) and Krat's parents were god Varun & goddess NOČ/NOCH (Hellenic copy is goddess Nyx). So god DIV (Zeus) has 3 grand-parents two grandmothers goddesses Gaja (Gea/Gaia) & Noč (Nyx) and one grandfather god Varun (Uranus). Varun's father is a supreme god SVAROG who created goddess NOČ for his son VARUN.
    God DIV (Zeus) and goddess KORA (Hera) had a son Serbian-Slavic pagan god BAK also known as BIK(bull)/ZAGREJ (Hellenic copy paste is Bak-us/Backus).
    Hellens copied all Serbian-Slavic pagan gods & goddesses like SERBON/POLON-Apolon/Apollo, SERBONA-Erbona/Arbona/Artema, ARION/AREY/JARILO-Ares, PERUN/ILIJA GROMOVNIK/ILIJA-Illios/Helios, DIKA-Nike, TEUT-Teos, PELA/PELADA/LADA-Afrodites, PALADA-Athena, EVROPA-Europa, JAVAN-Jovis, god/titan OKEAN+goddess POSIDEJA-Poseidon,...
    All Hellenic/"Greek" mythology is a COPY-PASTE from SERBIAN-SLAVIC PAGAN RELIGION.
